i was searching some old threads yesterday and came across with this jewel

If you have a pet or hireling that picks up your stone and then you dismiss the pet/hireling, the same thing happens.  If there is no soulstone, then you don't have anywhere to rubberband to and therefore don't rubberband.

That's not an exploit as far as I know, just a system limitation/WAI.

i dont know if it is still working, but upon someone's death in the deathwyrm's endfight, a troll could summon his pet, tell him to grab the stone and then dismiss him. and the stone ...poof!
no cakes allowed, no rubberband to dismiss the debuff, no shrines, profit? well, definitely not for that poor little fella  Cheesy

awww....

edit:
i did some tests. inside a quest, arti`s dog drops the stone when you dismiss him. a hireling however doesnt. so, there might be some use to it, besides raids.

Rubberbanding twice kills the wraith and gets rid of the anti-raise lock.
If you can't rubberband, having the rest of your party killing the wraith will still allow a raise.

i see.
damnit, coz i found a workaround.. Tongue

update for the matter, just for scientific reasons:

druid's puppy also drops the stone when dismissed.

however, if it's not your stone the one he carries, but someone else's, then if you recall out, the puppy recalls out too. you can dismiss him outside of the quest. the stone drops, but it will stay outside of the quest (even in public areas). hence, the dead toon can run freely again w/o rubberbanding. (and then re-enter the raid and have another one dd/stuck, get you back)

Or when someone dies, pick up their stone, ddoor, drop their stone, /stuck back up.

nope. but you can summon your pets.

the initial idea was to be irreversible. and to not give a chance to figure out it was you the one who did it. all he could see would have been a name -not listed in raid's members- picked his stone.
but, alas, i didnt know about the wraith mechanics

He's not much of a raider so while we're all raiding he sits around bored and coming up with ways to bake pasties and touch his pets.
