Just wanted to say that I am loving this level split.  I went from pure 20 to this and even though I miss Abundant step, this is fun as hell.

8 HsM (contemplation)
5 Ninja Spy (Core1/2, +3 Dodge)
15 TA (Shadow Dodge, Dex)

76AP

just did some re-working of this build layout and realized your math is a wee bit off here. Specifically the part in red. Minimum 5 points spent to get tier 2, so minimum 6 points spent in tree, not 5, and because stealthy isnt worth 1 point, most likely take sneak attk 1, so 7 points spent, leaving you at 78 points spent total, not 76 XD

Just a thought:

9th rogue is primarily being taken for sneak attack yes?
9th rogue nets:
+1 fort/will save
+1 sneak attack dice (3.5 damage average)
+1 reflex saves vs traps

6th wizard will give you:
+1 all saves
Next BAB bracket. (minor with tensors i know)
More sp & slightly longer spells (6 second displace [12 extended])
Boosts your elemental damage from 1d6 - 2d4. (3.5 - 5 average)
EK core 3 - 1% double strike.

I don't know how double strike relates to shurikens, but if the extra 1% from core 3 counts then a wiz level will outperform a rogue level.
Even the EK doublestrike doesn't effect shurikens, with no extra ap investment 6th wiz still gains +1.5 damage on average that's not dependent on sneak attacks, it's comparable with rogue.

With the logic I've seen used here often the longer spell durations should justify a drop of 2 average damage per shot.

On a variant I never posted which is 9 Monk I go 6 Wizard 5 Rogue.

I don't really disagree with you at all, that 6th wizard level is quite nice and arguably worthwhile. Just the SP and Spell durations alone, with the extra Elemental damage as a kicker is great too.

I do not believe the Wizard cores are giving Doubleshot, though I would need to do a test to be sure. I'm traveling and have a beastly paper for my masters the next couple weeks though, so unlikely to be able to do so.

Also, 8/6/6 is just so much less attractive than 9/6/5 Smiley

awehs.. NAUGHTY Munk.. im doing the 8/6/6 xD, 9 rogue dint offer a whole hell of a lot in regards to dps over doing an extra monk or wiz, i wanted an extra spell slot for rage/haste/displace. Ill let yah know how she goes

well lets be clear,

this isn't a large difference. The rogue version is still technically higher DPS. 3.5 SA dice is more than 1.5 Elemental, and constancy of SA is not really an issue on this build, especially in SD. Lots of things resist elemental damage too at various points in the game.

But, there are good trade offs for 6 Wiz.

6 Wiz can fairly be argued to be a better defensive split, and 9 Rogue to be a better offensive split.

The same logic used to justify having permanent tensors for offensive purposes rather than just scrolling makes a 12second longer displace = more dps. :p

The difference is indeed very small between the two splits, the only reason I bought up 6wiz is that I hadn't seen it mentioned.
On paper it came down to 16.66% longer displace & +1.5 elemental damage vs +3.5 sneak attack damage.

The most important thing that hasn't been mentioned though, with a slight rejig of enhancements, 6 wizard opens up access to the all mighty Tosspirenmo Deathstorm build.

hms, SA is nice, but not reliable every single hit like the imbue is, Especially for heroic levels or while running in something other than SD (especially with the LD changes coming) average of 1.5 on every hit seems like it would be more overall than 3.5 average 30% or even 33% of the time (sneak attack on bosses, trash dies too fast to matter either way SA or Elemental)

Couple questions, why not use the 3bc gloves?  For 2nd ring why not use either stalker ring or seal of house anvi with 2 wisdom for example? For trinket, why not use a planar for set since your not using claw set and 2 thforged combo.
Also why guardian cloack? That is nice slot for a dodge item for example cloack of wolf as it also gives seeker that stacks.
Or a gsteel if you need.
My setup is slightly different, cant decide if i want celestia /th combo or a claw 2 th forged.
Also as i dont dupe mats it takes forever to make  t3 shuris for me so i need to plan alot beforehand..
Still cant decide how to setup mortal fear shuri.

I've been running in Tinkerhell for the last month so it's hard to recall, also I have multiple gear setups for different sitautions. EE I go more Defensive (Shadowscale, different Ring slots), or against undead i use a Deadly X/Resist 10 Hat and change up some other stuff.  If I know I'm going to take a lot of incoming Damage I put on Conv/Parrying Bracers or even Lesser Conv/Parrying Bracers and Gilvs Ring with +20% Hamp for 30/20/10% and a TF sword. Makes RC hit for like for 120-150 a tick before Crits. Then I put on 10Dex/10Dodge boots and lose a dex and some PRR, not the end of the world.

General purpose equipment that is relatively static:
I use Claw Set (Gem and Gloves)
Off hand TF/Celestia/Seeker 10, Deception VI, Red Slot SS/Rebellion
Duma Bracers
Dragon Masque
Necklace Eleidons
Prismatic Cloaks with +10 Resist (usually slot luck +2)
Eyes is +11 Wisdom or swap in +8 Wisdom True Sight as needed
+11 Con of False Life 50 (I know, ridiculous). And way better than Battle Ragers which does little to nothing for this build.

Rings are:

Ring of Stalker
10% TS DunRobar
125 Fort of Dodge 10
Seal of AviThoul (+2 Wisdom)

Again, sometimes there's variation. Like if I tank Reaver in FoT i throw on Djinni Ring with Purple Prismatic Cloak.

Yes yes, but Haste does very little for this build once you have Lvl 25 and Whirling Wrists. So it's really Displace being longer and having Rage in the third slot for some HP and Will Save +1.

I don't know what Tosspir...Mo whatever is. I have an alt I used to run a lot that is a 15 Wizard/Monk3/2FvS that's basically an infinite SP shiradi Nuker that uses Pin and Whistle for added CC/Helpless damage.

It's insanely fun. there are many variants with different levels of Wizard/Monk you could do that would be fun. I had some ideas for druid splits with it too, but I just never pursued them. Is this was you're talking about?

About battle ragers, i like the spike damage it adds nice dps, but as i was away from game, full in cast etc, took me 2 weeks to reach 27 this life (which is usually 2 days heh).
So as im impatient before i give it a go on 28, thing im interested and people im asking dont know or say yes.
Is the belts dstrike also granting dshoot?
If yes, then i think i can afford to get hit for the proc since the duration is considerably longish

dont have one to test, but that would be badass re: Doublestrike.

10% On Damage 10d6 damage does not proc on shuriken that i know of, had a guildy test it a few weeks ago on dummy

dammit i dont want to run to get one of those things now if it does

2nd ring: dont get me wrong, stalkers cute, so is avithoul for wisdom 2. But i dont use 10k, hell i dint even take the feat. I dislike the no-doubleshot period while 10k is not active. Currently i get more out of just DS over 10k. As for Stalker, trash dies so fast anyhow, the vorp manslayer is meh. Not to mention, theres nothing major missin in my set up dps wise other than maybe swapping to wolf cloak. I use guardian cloak because every little bit helps. In case you missed it, already got dodge item, and its in a decent enough slot. The 3bc gloves are nice and all, but meh. I dont use planar, because im almost always using the TF SS, in case you also missed that above.. Cheesy I swap to celestia if I need to maintain aoe aggro, like on ragers or something. (Also, i slotted 2 wisdom, so def dont need to waste a ring slot on it. Having seeker 12 on ring works for me)
