Yes, anything that remotely make tree fun and useful will be nerfed because overperforming. They will force you to attack slow motion single target.

I think my next build will be designed solely around blowing through EN as fast as possible. Maybe its time to return to druid. Druid 17/barb2/fighter 1 snowslide/sprint boost/extra action boosts?

Hmm I think I can do better. Give me a bit. I'm going to come up with a build that is so mathematically bad it won't have a chance in hell of being nerfed, but will be the best build for character progression in the game.

Let's see in which creative way they will ruin our fun with tree builds. After all we all need to underperfom the same way or the fat kid that doesn't understand how to build optimized chars will cry on mobo.

I think rogue instead of fighter for trapping, and elf for keen senses and dragonmark for invis/shadow walk. Twist energy burst+ extra action boosts.

Between 40% movespeed boost from snowslide, 10% from barb, 50% from sprint boost, and 50% from shadow walk, should move at +150% base move speed while invis and auto detecting traps. Unless I'm missing some sort of stacking limits or types.

I don't need anything out of EE, and haven't for over a year.

I went back in and you are right, there is an AoE effect to Holy Retribution, it's just that with TWF the area of effect seems to be more or less in a small arc in front of you, so you don't hit mobs at your side like a regular cleave. I also tried it with THF and my perception was that it behaves differently and has a wider arc, closer to the cleave.

I guess this is again some weird turbine logic...

Every attack with that animation is a small frontal arc AoE, a mini-cleave if you will. En Pointe, Mom Swing, Holy Retribution, others?

Confront any Foe + Bane of Undeath twisted for epic completionist with +3 fate tome.

Same small animation. I wonder if tree form larger hit box enlarges it. Will test later.

Confront any Foe

This was bugged with monk wolves. Used to give more than 4 hits, a lot more. Don't know how it will function on tree.

It should be 5.4 + double strike, since triple attack unarmed is 3xtwf. Dunno if it also shield bashes. If it works well we can drop supreme cleave and have a paladin base.

GDI I have such a nice elf speedster coming together too! Self healing, ultra fast, auto trapping, invis, displaced, energy burst delivery system.

Tested on dummy Confront Any Foe with Endless Turning  twists on the Fighter/warlock/barb build and it only hits once on tree form with sword and shield, no DS. Unnarmed it didnt even hit dummy.

That implies we are missing something, since Rubbins remembers it working.

I wonder if it requires unarmed-monk centered like WW.

Checked with my tree and only hits once, but when out of tree form it does a triple hit arc with a pretty regular fourth DS hit.

Seems like tree form wrecks it.

When I tested unnarmed, I put robes to be centered and no hit happens.

I'm currently trying out the lock/ftr/barb version.  What are the best twists generally for the tree builds?

I've found some good mileage in Improved CE, Legendary Shield Mastery, Shield Prowess and Uncanny or Dragonhide in the fourth slot.

I've seen some people using the Divine Crusader twists for healing and 10% damage since you can cast in tree form, but I had more fun this way.

I think every build gets better. This one gets a buncha spell power (6 per epic level + 20), 40 melee power, and 5 twist points to go with another twist slot, or maybe an AoE stun:

29 ED Feat Choice:
Dire Charge (3 Martial Destinies)
Charge forward at the targeted foe. That foe and all nearby foes are subject to +2[w] damage and must make a Fortitude save or be stunned. Stun DC is (20 + highest ability modifier + bonus to stun attacks).

or:

Arcane Warrior (2 Arcane+1 Martial)
Your weapon and unarmed attacks grant you a stack of Arcane Warrior: Magical (+1 Universal Spell Power). Your offensive spells grant you a stack of Arcane Warrior: Physical (+1 Melee and Ranged Power). Each of these stacks to 20 times and each stack lasts for 6 seconds. You may gain a stack of each no more than once per second.

Legendary 30 Feat:
Scion of Arborea
+20 Melee and Ranged Power
+20 Force Spell Power and +20 Universal Spell Power
+2 to the Enhancement Bonus of your weapon
+4 to Fortitude Saves

Plus a normal lvl 30 feat: something you didn't take at 27.

Does shield bashing affect anything while in tree mode?
Meaning could you get a "tree bash"?

I've been lagging out entire parties since the update when I go Tree Form. Turned off my combat logs and it's still happening. Anyone experiencing this or have tips?

edit: The build was fantastic before the update. Now I am the Bringer of Lag
