So I'm thinking about christmas presents for the kids.  We currently have an Xbox 360 and a PS3.  I tend to like the PS3 more, but I was just curious which of the newer consoles you guys like better and why.  The price seems about the same ($349-$399) so is there any real feature advantages to either or is it just a personal preference kind of thing?

PS4 has been selling a lot more units worldwide than the Xbox One, which may have an impact on which system games will be optimised for down the line.

The PS4 does already seem to be doing much better than the Xbox One though.

PS4's online service PSN has much better free games and better discounts than the xbone IMO. So if you DL most of your games instead of buying them at the store I would suggest PS4.

X1 sunset overdrive and Halo collection. Also horizon2 is so damn fun.

PS4 vote here. Been playing Destiny mon-stop, and it is beautiful. I hear PS4 is more powerful than the XBOX so in the long run it might hold up better, but since they're consoles I guess it doesn't make the same difference as a PC.

I'm really happy with my PS4, and the people who play them/I've run into seem to be a little older and mature than the XBOX crowd I recall from when I had a 360 years and years ago.

I have yet to meet a squeaker on the X1.
