Just checked and rest shrines only stack to 10, but indeed unbound. I'd say not worth the inv space compared to other good stuff you can stock up on. Same with teleport rods (50 uses, don't stack at all).

Also- why would you stock up on destiny keys? just unlock any tree you haven't yet. No need to keep a stock of them.

Teleport rods don't stack (as you said) and they are BTC too - which is a PITA.

You're right, use them if you can - no point saving them.  But Destiny unlock keys can only be used post lvl 20, so if you have Alts that aren't epic yet, you need to keep some.  They're also BTC.

Rest shrines are good for group use, or classes that run on boosts/charges.

I'm having a bit of an annoyance someone probably has a solution for- the cruncher window closes for no reason. Not sure if it's timed, or only let's a certain amount of uses before closing.
I suppose i can add a couple of lines to macro to make it open the cruncher again, but I figured it's worthing asking.

Yes, it's on a timer.
Another Turdbine ham fisted attempt to stop mis-use.

You will have to script a re-open.

What are you using to script this up?
I am using macros to automate some things, but its annoying having to reopen the cruncher every few mins.

Auto hotkey. Reopening cruncher is easy, just put on hotbar and add a click to use it. Dragging the cards back might be a bit of a chore.

I'm gonna miss tossing those tornados like they were lumps of coal. Even if I stock all of my mules with them (and I probably won't. ..) I'll still know there's limited supply and feel like a cheapskate with 'em.  Cry

I wish I had a lot of lumps of coal... those seem like fun to use.

Are there any returning lumps of coal?

Well this blows chunks.  Might have to roll up another mule to hold the stuff from my cards.  Traded like a maniac to build up my stash and now they are tossing it out.

Shit.

Granted with all the duping that is apparently possible with them I can't say I am surprised.  What I am surprised with is that they allowed them into a container in the first place.

Nothing gold can stay, ponyboy.

But don't worry. Turbine is great a fucking up and I'm sure we'll all get a new feature to have fun with soon.

I have no doubt we'll get -something- fun.

But will it be as fun as THROWING TORNADOES?

I'm afraid not - you can't go any higher than the peak, and DDO has peaked with those Tornadoes for pure unadulterated carnage.  It's the BFG of MMO's!

And I'm not talking about the neutered Tornado's of today - I'm talking about the badass mofos that could take out bosses while they were invulnerable and going through their tedious monologues.

Oh yeah, nothin like laying the smack down on those arrogant red names who thought they were untouchable.

At least it led to an absolutely critical change to the way those monologues work. We can start the fight. Before, we were forced to sit through their arbitrary pauses because the devs were so abysmally incompetent that they couldn't deliver exposition without a pause button. A pause button we sure as fuck don't get.

That shit ruins games.

Hey it happens in the movies - aren't they a reflection of reality?
The hero always stops to listen to the bad guys diatribe?   Huh
Don't tell me that isn't real either?   Shocked
What a shit week - first Santa isn't real and now I find out movies aren't real.   Cry

I've stockpiled around 10K tornado pots so far, (10 backpack pages worth) and figured it was enough, but everytime I log in I feel like I have to crunch more.

I feel like a DDO prepper.

Are Tornadoes really that big deal and super common on the other servers ?
I kid you not, I have seen them used twice : Elite Deathwyrm by some kind of bard that couldn't handle few shadows.
EE Spinner by awful caster druid that got scared by hezrous in the middle. I told him to stop. And he did.

Had some kind soul spam them to get us through Tangleroot in double quick time once and I've seen them spammed in a VoN 5, but I think the person doing that was trying to be sneaky about it and didn't know I was there. Felt dirty. In a good way.

People tend o be careful about doing it in PUGs these days though.

I personally never use them in PUGs, way too many asswipes out there that report anything and everything.

They are just a speedy zerg tool, and I guess a crutch for some players who can't handle some mobs.  They also let you skip ahead to higher level content for faster runs to lvl 9 so you can hurry up and re-use a stone.

For instance, last life 4 guildies, Korthos to popping stone with full coin lord and Kundarak favor, 3 1/2 hours.

Yeah, not in PuG's. Spamming them basically allow any character, no matter how gimpy, to solo most quests at run speed.
You get high amounts of DPS vs. anything, and make any sort of defence unnecessary against everything but red/purple named, thanks to no-save knockdown.

Cordo might have a chance at completing haverdasher if he used bottled tornadoes.
