BTW, I was testing shadowstar tonight and decided to test Sting of the Ninja.
Here's a screenshot, with 20 full stacks it was only doing 90-110 damage on a crit. So with bugged crit in DC you would be doing 100*.75=75 damage per hit on a pure Monk, or in my case 60 damage a hit in DC (7-20).
Unfortunately you can't afford that and KtA if you're halfing.
With upcoming changes, if they stick to them, it's going to be all about:
Human/Helf/PDK 12 Ranger 6 Monk 2 Fighter. Dual boost, KtA, Tier 5 DWS, 26 AP in Ninja Spy for Poison (or 28 for all 4 SA dice for 7 total with 3 from DWS).
You could swap 2 Fighter for Pal, but I like the feats and the extra ABs in Kensei for dual boosting.
That will be the best of all thrower worlds I think. And I'd probably run it in Earth Stance, since Doubleshot will be so high the 4 Dex isn't worth 10% of physical damage from the extra crit Mod, except maybe on high fort stuff. Once they fix the threat stacking on Shadowstar, probably crit range will go back to 17-20 in LD, and then the poison is only around 20dmg a throw, and going deeper racial tree or Harper (or even AA at that point) might make more sense.
