Any recent run speed tests?

I can read the wiki but am not playing at the mo, curious if any other speed fans have done any testing. I can see what's supposed to stack with what, but we all know the QC at Turbine means tooltips aren't always reliable...

Anyway so I have a soft spot for fast moving builds. I used to use an 18Mnk base with Rgr for sprint boost but these days does a Barb/Bard mix win out? Or something else? Thinking about coming back for a month or three and planning out some possible builds.

If there's anything on the main forums a link would be appreciated as I ditched those when they changed over & lost history.

really, 28?

Base 5:
+3 horc
+3 frenzied berserker
+3 Legendary dreadnaught
+2 necklace
+3 PDK lives

AAAAaaand. I just noticed the tier 3 athletics since I was obviously missing something.

Damn, that's good.

Athletics is awesome. Separate cooldown is the best part, so you can sprint boost continously for most short-medium quests if you're willing to drop rage and rerage.

That sounds like a good bet. I'm guessing the Bard action boost typed speed bonuses are not meant to stack with the Barb boosts, and I'm also guessing someone would've mentioned if they were misbehaving in a pleasing way. Cheers!

Now U25 is here:

I'm guessing Shadowdancer doesn't grant Epic levels counting as Rog levels? If it did I'd be tempted by 18Monk/2Rog and, in theory: [max Monk speed] + 10% from 10 Rog levels ((2H+8E) x 1%) with the new Thief-Acrobat enhancement Fast Movement. If it also behaves as it should. Which would put you at Monkbarian run speeds.

Lots of ifs there.

Assuming (it may be a big ,fat, incorrect assumption) they stack, as far as I could figure, the build with the fastest innate run speed would be a 15 bard, 4 fighter, 1 barbarian.

10% from 1 level of barbarian.
10% from Swift Defense (tier 4 fighter Stalward Defender)
15% from Fast Movement (tier 4 Swashbuckler)

You also get Sprint boosts from the bard Warchanter tree.

Another variant of this would be to take 14 bard, 4 fighter, 2 barb and get the Sprint boosts from Barb instead of Warchanter.  You would lose 1% innate by giving up the bard level but you could gain a higher number of Sprint boosts from the Frenzied Berzerker tree.

15monk = 25% and abundant step
4 fighter = 10%
1 ranger = sprint boost.

I'd argue this is the fastest build in the game, thanks to abundant step.

You need 2 ranger levels to get sprint boost.

Until someone bought it up here a little while ago, I never even thought to try it once actionboosts were moved to level 2.

Well holy shit. Thanks!

(Yes. Have a Barb now and even though many sprint boosts are amazing, I can't get past monk levels + speed boost + abundant. Edit: either way your DPS is far better once you get there on that Barb Wink )

Allow myself to quote...myself...
gibbon wrote on Nov 25th, 2014 at 12:35am:
(Effects): You benefit from your Fast Movement.
(Effects): --- Music modifier to Movement Speed: +10%
(Combat): You are affected by your fast movement.
(Combat): Move 1% faster for each Bard Level you possess.
(Combat): Your fast movement effect has been removed from you.

So the log and some very brief testing seemed to show that Barb and Swash Fast Movements do not stack. I basically ran around Eveningstar with the stopwatch on my phone and didn't see a difference in run times.

Then, in the course of resetting enhancements I stopped seeing the line about it being removed and tests seemed to show that it did stack. Yeah.

Swift Defense from Stalwart is an action boost so doesn't stack with the T2 or T5 Warchanter but does stack with Fast Movement.

If the squirrelly Fast Movements will really stack then a 19 Bard/1 Barb could get 19%, 10%, and 15% always on with that 15% getting overwritten by Sprint Boost.

In conclusion, I find that the Swashbuckler tree is buggy as shit. In related news, water is found to be wet.

This was pre-U24, so before the Barb pass.
