How solo servants/ritual or just get slinger? (Read 4048 times)

	Trying to grab a slinger in EN/EH as I grind out spinner for a doublecross anyways, so attempting to figure this one out. I assume the spawns never end as I fought for over 15 minutes last night until I gave up. I cant seem to get the first wave cc'd long enough to pull that evidently, extremely heavy lever down. Only running this for the slinger, so would like to figure it out, even though at this point I may not even use the thing on my xbow rogue, it still annoys me. Whats the trick?� Can it be done on elite without extreme stealth skill? Does it have a decentish drop rate on epic to where I could not hit ransack and get it?

	Or disco balls (think you need 2 to get'em all). Otto's Irresistible Dance Should also work, though you'll have to run around and get'em all (and beat SR checks, which shouldn't be difficult on EN/EH). Mass Hold Monster should work as well. Or grab a hire and let it get aggro.

	You should have no problem breaking SR on normal / hard. My first life no SP toon can disco the whole mob. Grab a hire and summon a monster for agro. Then give that big stick a nice, long, Rubbins quality pull.

	You need CC and/or aggro management. Either way it's tough to solo, unless you're a bard.

Fail, If you're after the base item, just run it on Heroic Elite. I multi-boxed it a few days ago and got 2 from 3 toons. I think the drop rates have been increased.� Heck of a lot easier on Heroic Elite or Heroic Hard depending on your class/ED. Seals and Shards are probably best found in the Spinner's end chest. This item is part of the Epic SSS (Scroll/seal/shard) system. It is very, very grindy. It was designed for when toons were capped at 20 and kept people busy for moths trying to get that one missing component. There are no Epic versions of these items. There is the base items, and then you need the S/S/S to upgrade it to Epic. The upgrade takes it lvl 20. Most of these Epic SSS items have been eclipsed and left behind by subsequent loot systems. The bow and Xbow still hold up ok - especially if you're happy with the base item. I know players who ground for years to get their completed sliver slinger or bow. Most don't grind for this Epic SSS gear anymore because you blow through the 20-24 levels so quick and get better gear soon enough. Hope that helps.

	I went and did this just for the hell of it. I did EH, so I could keep blitz up, two dancing balls and some warforged hire to hold agro and I had no problem pulling the lever. I do have evasion though and made several saves, so if you don't have evasion it may be tough.

	Much easier way to do it in epics solo & no hires... Go in hidden or invis. Pull lever They will spot you Run back up path to crest arch Pick everything off or intim to draw each away from pack Once they are all dead, go hidden and invis. Pull lever and they shouldn't be able to find you when they start spawning again, so only the 1 wave to kill. Profit Mind you, this assumes you have at least SOME hide skill
