If the Edritch Blasts get any sort of significant saving throw, they are going to suck and thus the class will suck even more.

Surely you guys didn't think they would develop new spells?
Severance_Pay has spent months just working on Eldritch Blast - no time for new spells.

I have to say that it reads ok, but will have to wait till Lamm to see how it plays.
I am concerned that you have the one same primary attack for 20 levels, supplemented with some CC/utility spells.  Melee can change their weapons, casters can change spells, but Warlocks don't seem to offer a player much variety.  You aren't going to need many hot bars for Warlocks!  Who knows, maybe the ability to toggle your Eldritch Blast will provide versatility.

Little things like EB cool down will be critical to its playability.

I thought +10 UMD is pretty strong.

The big unknown will be how that Eldritch Blast damage scales into Epic levels.  Caster Druids are great till 20, then their spell damage just can't keep up due to the lack of focus/boosts.

Since it is a ray in its primary form, you'd have to think a reflex save is in order.  Varg said foes can avoid it.
It all depends on how they calibrate it.

Sigh and being the current crop of Devs they only play Epic Casual, so expect it to rock in EC and suck in EH.

How do we make a spellcaster based o charisma that uses some of the sorcerer's spells?

Spell selection looks incredibly boring.  Pretty much only level 3 spells will be worth casting for haste and displacement. 

I think they should add some high burst damage/long cooldown spells in the upper levels for warlocks to use in clutch moments.  Otherwise, it's just going to be autoattack + buffs.

I agree, don't even see the point of the class overall. Just seems like a wasted opportunity. Arty, monk, druid, they all really added to the game.

Speaking for myself, no need to apologize man, it's not on you or the PC.

Turbine needs a new class for revenue, it's understandable.

And if this is what they came up with after 5 months? it was always going to suck. Smacks of most of Sev's tastes so far, combining magic/melee for a end result with little to differentiate it from the others.

Seems like some kind of boring mini-rangers with less spells and even less Spell points.

It doesn't even matter that the spell selection is boring. With 525 spell points at level 20, good luck casting even 5 spells.

I thought they were casters but looks like with Eldritch blast being a toggle, it's a hold left-button class?

Rather underwhelming either way. Was expecting some new spells and new shit.

I never did get the appeal for Warlocks. I always thought they were a one-trick pony, with a pretty crappy trick at that.

And this implementation looks pretty underwhelming. I am not looking forward to having to level one to re-gain completionist.

They should have created the Psion.
