Dunno. But I met one in a Wayfinder PUG, while spamming cleaves on my melee artificer. True story, I thought it was mildly amusing.

So what's so hot about xbow barbs?

Barb Bow Build? Sure, why not. Tested 18barb/2ranger TWF+Furyshot, very nice if you look for burst damage and still good in LD with TWF and manyshot fueling blitz.

Barb XBow Build? Why would you do that? Just for crit rage? Does bowstrength work with XBows now? No? Max INT barb then? XBow Paladin seems the way to go imho. (If you don't want to just roll a 18mechanic/2X Build.)

I thought about it when I saw BS was working on ranged too, but not got the time to level all the random ideas. Still on the "Delete an iconic and test this" list.

Unless there is a "feature", barb seems weaker than 14 pally in any conceivable way. Tried some time ago on lama, before mechanic pass, but even then it was clearly weaker than 14 pally repeater.

Tilomere indeed made some barb repeater build, but it's based on holyswording trash repeaters by trading to pallies from party, not very reliable and a lot of hassle imo.

He was just trying to show the most exploitable way to make a crossbow build, he acknowledges the issues. However, there are very often paladins who can cast holy sword in parties, so it's not really that far fetched.
