So there's a guy I've run into a couple of times on Argo who wiil, in a party, casually bitch to you the whole time about how his rogue is "bugged" and how he rolls too many 1s, has "photographic proof", and won't shut up about it.

Anyone else know who I'm talking about? I've partied with him at least once or twice(never on his apparently bugged rogue). Friggin annoying.

I don't know but i saw 1 four times in a row in my combat log already.

I have a personal best of seven (7) ones (1's) in a row for my rogue.

I have many runs into double digits where the rolls never got above 4.

I considered that:

A) My luck was shitty
B) I should log and bug report it
C) It's rigged deliberately by the coders
D) The random number generator is borked

Then I realized it's Turbine and got over it, because fail is SOP there, and bad luck happens.

When you roll 1 on skill check it's not auto-fail like on attack rolls.

Under normal circumstances I would concur with this method of evaluation. But it has been confirmed by devs not only is combat log inaccurate but RNG is borked too. People in general roll differently but this was very unique.

After being shouted down in so many ways, I asked some buddies to test with me and we took a sample with 3 other similar builds. We each beat down the dummy 20 times and counted our 1's. when we compared our samples, I was rolling 3 times as many more 1's than the other 3 rogues. But the interesting thing was the disparity of 20's in comparison. So it really doesn't matter if I detailed everything with SC, video, or even a runtime debugging script. It's just going to be my word over a low priority problem.

Your rolls don't seem to be all that off.  I saw two 19's next to two ones.  That's unlikely.  I also saw you duplicated one of your screenies to make it look like more events than there actually are.  I saw one screenie with 3 crits out of 4 rolls, even though you should only be critting 25% of the time.  Two ones in a row happening several times over the course of a 12-20 minute quest is normal, not abnormal.  Over small sample sizes, you will see outliers.  The larger the sample size, the overall activity will normalize.  To some degree.  But there will still be some outliers.  That's the random part of RNG. 
 
Another problem.  You show screenies from at least two different quests and the training dummy.  That doesn't do anything to prove they happened minutes apart vs hours, days, or months apart.
