They're not affected by melee power. I wouldn't use the phrase significant. Yes they are damage however.

I understand this is highly optimized, but how much would you lose by only having 12 ranger levels?  some doublestrike and 10mp from the tempest tree...I was thinking 2 levels of rogue (purely for trapping) and 6 barbarian would be an interesting mix.  you would lose the know the angles, but gain extra PRR/MRR from the occult slayer tree (as well as run speed)...the big thing though would be arcane encumberance...between that and the deflect arrows, lots of non-melee stuff would be accounted for in LE.  could just be garbage, but was daydreaming about 12 ranger + something else

I find 15 Ranger to be a better stopping point for Cure Serious and FoM. 

15 Ranger and...

3 Fighter or 3 Paladin for Defensive stance
2 Barbarian for Ear Smash, run speed
2-4 Cleric (FVS) for Vulnerability, Divine Might and PRR, Ameliorating Strike
1-4 Rogue for Traps, Sneak Attack, Venomed Blades

Mix and match as you please...

i will be 18ranger/1barb/1fvs. 15 ranger is garbage. 12 ranger could work decently, while being suboptimal. The issue with a 12/6 split is action points to spare...

Agree. The capstone is very good to drop. Its either 15 or 20.

Yes but it would require 5 barbarian levels.  He is only taking 1 level probably for 10% speed.

They might've fixed it with all these barbarian enhancement changes coinciding with lag fixes, but 1 barb used to do it.

+20 Lessered into this after returning from a long break of active play.

I have to say that pure ranger is a LOT of fun to play now, and is an exceptionally easy way to get the rust off a couple year break from melee.

It seems to me that quick draw has changed slightly and no longer provides the same drastic decrease in pause time when popping a boost. Is this my imagination or what?
