Anyone else have trouble on Windows 10? (Read 14447 times)

	I have picked up one of those convertible win10 tablet/laptops, its not much but i should be strong enough to run DDO at low settings, trouble is when I launch, I am getting an error that says: msvcr100.dll is missing Now in the past that error has typically meant I need to install directX, but my windows 10 machine helpfully insists that it has the most up to date directx, and the older versions are not available for windows 10. I think this may be related to me copying the DDO directory from one of my 64bit computers, unfortunately I have not yet had time to try grabbing a 32 bit from an older comp, and I can't do a fresh install(unless someone knows how to do a fresh install without getting akamai). Any ideas?

	Download and install DirectX 9.0c maybe? Something tells me DX 9 needs to be installed regardless of whether you're using DX 11 or not.

They must have encountered this problem before as Win 10 has been out for awhile now. Does Win 10 have a compatibility mode option when you right click the DDO.exe? Did you install the DDO hires pack? Can't remember if that defaults to dx11 at install...

	Well now I have a fun new problem. DDO ML is kicking out this error when I try to patch: "Your DDO game directory "D:\gamefolder\DDO" does not appear to be right" I finally fixed that one by changing the path until it had no spaces(this has never been a problem before, I've used "D:\DDO Unlimited\DDO Unlimited" for ages, its practically portable) I also installed the 2010 C++ runtime. Unfortunately I won't get to find out if I'm successful for 90 minutes or so - work

	i dont think i ever had any ddo shit in my hosts file, and currently it contains basically nothing

	The groundwork (networking) for alternative launchers was not done by me.� And back in the day there was an API detailing how to interface with the system.� There is a handshake failure after connecting to the login server (the IP is the same), which suggests that the protocol itself has changed.� I don't think I can fix it
