ON khyber they were run during ITR's a lot.  People would use the saga for xp and run the raid once as they leveled, since it is fast, easy to short man, and solid xp/min.  The groups would usually get about 7-8 people.  Rarely filled.

But if you are looking to run it overlevel just for loot, that's something you would want to get some guildies or friends together for.  It can usually be done with 2-3 epic toons with little effort.  Of course, that doesn't make for a lot of chest rolls so hopefully you can get some folks who are flagged and willing to give you 15 minutes you need to run it.

I was trying for a Cloudburst for reasons awhile back. Was on a toon on which I was doing the ETR cycle and that could easily handle any of the fighting in there solo at any point in his ETR. I just tossed up an LFM to hopefully find at least one person that was able to keep the air ele's off me while I did the end puzzle. I'd list the LFM for 14-28 (was max at the time) and only kept the LFM up for 5 minutes or so after I got the first person that joined. Usually was rolling within 10-15 minutes and ran it every 3 days until I got my Cloudburst.

So the way I see it you can either hope someone on your server does that or you can be that person. It's really not hard. One person can handle both flying and the puzzle (that person being you). You just need people that can keep the air ele's busy while you puzzle if you're on a class that can't easily cc/kill them without too much thought. If you're on one of those classes then you could just run it completely solo.

I rarely see LFMs for it.

I did it once last year with 2 other guys, elite at level, was stressful.

is there a trick to loot without getting completion? Soloing is fine, but I'd rather not have to spend weeks grinding it because the item drop rate is poor.

The bad news is that you're not guaranteed a named loot in each completion.   You do get a 20th completion list.

Best bet is to multibox it and/or open it to the public and ask them nicely to pass you the item you're looking for if they don't need it.
