So I have a character I'm going to burn a +20 on, before you say anything about the build... yes it is a amazingly gimpy piece of crap, that will be little improved by the changes I intend.

The main drift of my post is ways to milk changes out of a LR, what is possible and what isn't when it comes to switching during the process.

Currently he has 1-9 bard, 10-14 wiz, 15-20 ftr.

My plan is to change levs 1-4 wiz, 5-8ftr, and then the remainder to warlock. My thinking is that at lev 9 when I will have 4 lvs of wiz, and 4 livs of ftr picked and overall 9lvs of wiz and 10 levs of ftr and just 1 lev of bard that I will switch out bard for warlock and then fill the rest with Warlock.

The experiment being, will the LR mechanic allow me to pull that switch at lev 9 or will it see it as too many classes in potential.

Happy for any input, will advise what happens.
