Ponder and preordain are good but I don't want to cast them at sorcery speed. Good point though, I should swap in fetch lands.

too slow for modern legacy format. The most popular are daze, spell pierce, flusterstorm(amazing little card that the list you posted would love).

The only decks that do run counterspell today are standstill decks and miracles(counterbalance- one of the best decks in format).

miracle list here  http://www.tcdecks.net/deck.php?id=19716&iddeck=150073

I've got that one. Hardcasting it sucks and this deck doesn't like the island bounce. I need to keep at least 2 islands out to win.

Pretty good, but situational. Sideboard material.

forgot you dont click links. just go to tcdecks.net  click the legacy picture and that takes you to the events played and decklists page.

SpiralTide is a bit different now, it uses storm mechanic to win. there is also a version with Reset in it that goes off on the opponents turn.

but these arent even the best "storm" deck out. Your avatar is the lynch-pin of all the modern day storm variants using Tendrils of Agony as the win-con. (edit: old dark rit avatar ;p)

1 Ad Nauseam
1 Rain of Filth
4 Brainstorm
4 Cabal Ritual
4 Dark Ritual
Sorceries [23]

1 Empty the Warrens
1 Past in Flames
1 Tendrils of Agony
2 Dark Petition
3 Cabal Therapy
3 Duress
4 Gitaxian Probe
4 Infernal Tutor
4 Ponder
Artifacts [8]

4 Lion's Eye Diamond
4 Lotus Petal
Lands [15]

1 Swamp
1 Tropical Island
1 Volcanic Island
2 Island
2 Underground Sea
4 Flooded Strand
4 Polluted Delta

sideboard:
1 Ingot Chewer
1 Sphinx of the Final Word
2 Carpet of Flowers
2 Dread of Night
4 Abrupt Decay
1 Chain of Vapor
1 Hurkyl's Recall
1 Surgical Extraction
1 Past in Flames
1 Tendrils of Agony

yea, cant really daze in hi tide decks.

not many creatures that your deck really cares about game 1 anyhow. most of the troublesome creatures are sideboarded in after g1 or are played in Death and Taxes(a sort of white weenie deck).

yeah, they pretty much win any counter war.

I don't think that works the way you think it works. Counters are not tokens. You should probably be running Doubling Season instead of Parallel Lives.

Legacy elves is the only deck in magic that comes close to miracles in awesomeness. ANT is pretty cool too.

I believe fun is a zero sum game.

OP's list is shit, as are all of the that have been decks posted so far that aren't the three above.

All are good decks. Miracles still probably best deck in format atm. After Cruise and Dig got banned, miracles stepped right back where it was prior. ANT got a huge boost from Past and Petition. Petition is effectively Demonic Tutor, and Past is pseudo-Yawgmoth's Will. If it werent for Counterbalance locks, ANT would be shredding Legacy.
