I've only ever lost various CitW weapons. And, for some strange reason, only the CitW weapons. Luckily for me I don't tr any longer. I now just make new first life alts and then leave them on the ship to pike.

win/win

For me it was always the weapons from orchard tome turn-ins. One would disappear every life for awhile. Sometimes I would notice and get it back from a gm, other times back when lost and found was still in place I would get it months later not even realizing it was gone to begin with.

I've noticed also that there is a set limit of items that show in the cache. Remove a few you know you will use that life and other stuff shows up in those removed items spots.

I don't recall that ever happening to me.  I can always see the whole TR cache.  And I have max inventory and bank slots, including the purchasable ones.  Something like 260 total spaces.  8(or is it 7?) backpack and 5 personal bank.

Yeah I'm maxed also on spaces. I've read about it periodically on forums https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/474832-My-mythic-item-is-missing-(?hig... and whenever I couldn't find an item just thought I lost it or deleted it, but I started to notice after removing stuff that I was using it would show up. I always figured I could miss something going down the list once or twice but after awhile it showing up something was going on.

ive heard about this several times yet never personally experienced it, just as asheras

what i can say is that, sometimes, inventory items can occupy the same inventory slot. a few times, i have managed to break my inventory in a manner that would show my inventory as full, numerically, however with 1 or 2 visibly empty slots in inventory. your inventory is in fact filled, but the game believes multiple items reside in one "slot" consider a list numbered 1-100, that accidentally puts 2 variables into say line 55. when you reach line number 99, youll have 100 variables, yet line 100 will be empty.

to rectify this inventory issue, you need to manually move each item to a different inventory slot, kinda like those sliding number puzzles, essentially moving the empty inventory slot around until you reveal the slot containing 2 items.you will know youve succeeded because after moving the item in the offending slot, a new item will appear in the same location instead of the slot being empty. the number of items in your inventory will not change, but the empty, unusuable slot will now be gone and an item previously believed to be gone will be staring at you with a green flashing outline.

i would not be the least bit surprised that the TR inventory, or ANY inventory can experience this issue- however i have only observed this phenomenon in the main player inventory. this is what i believe to be the cause of the "item wasnt in TR bank until i removed things" scenario

my suggestion is to completely empty your TR cache before you give up on an item

This is the first thing suggested by a GM when you report a missing item in your TR cache, so it must be a known issue.

Did you know I'm on the PC? how cool is that?

Well said.

these are the conditions that exist so your statement does not change the reality of the situation

well, my current plan: painstakingly list every single BtC item I have, screen-cap the TR cache, and then never stop pestering GMs until they restore lost items if this happens to me. It probably has, but I assumed I was just going senile.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.

Watch how often you bother them in game. After awhile they have been known to give bans out for constantly asking the same thing over each day.
After a bit it's better to just send in an email since we cant call anymore.

Seriously, what a crap move on their part. The problem is entirely their fault, and they won't fix it?! TR is the last thing keeping many people in the game, to discourage that with the threat of taking away your stuff and refusing to return it is just about the stupidest thing they could do.

I think the GMs and SSG round-table decision-makers need to be reminded that nothing in DDO has tangible reality...

It's all just 1's and 0's in a database.

It literally costs them nothing to replace, because it was never real to begin with.

But customer churn is VERY real, and easily prevented by small gestures; like replacing TR cache causalities.

Holy shit this thread is old. I think they don't like doing it because its time consuming but beyond that I agree, they are paid to do that shit and should be willing to adress a bug rather then tell me not to use the tr cache for storage. The second time I bugged him till I got the lead gm and he replaced 10 items but won't replace an otto box unles you bought it personally and they can see that in past transactions.

I have lost things in TR cache before, and I know others who have as well.

I figure bringing my issues to their attention isn't worth bringining my account to their attention lest they happen to notice some oddities. Haha.
