New engine for DDO

The one used for Unspoken, by Insomniac.  Played on the Oculus Rift system, with Oculus touch.

Edit Most some Best Buy Stores currently have Oculus Demo inside - Appointment may be required.

Retards like [ ] will have to get a new system. Instead of using the one in the porta potty.

Many non-retards will also have to upgrade.

yeah, definitely...because trdbine is really willing to spend cash to port game to some other engine, not speaking about need to customize that engine for game needs.

And in addition, DDO is not one of the games which could be played in VR so easily due to its controls.

so i guess u can put this idea to your cesspit of wet dreams

I've already started planning my next build around the nVidia 1060 line, bring it on, baby!

Gringo is probably right, though, they don't have the resources to fix the string table errors, never mind port to a new engine. Or even to afford the computers to test it on, if they ever decide to add testing to their development cycle.

Turdbin, keep changing the DDO rules, because McDonalds sold over 200 billion hamburgers by changing the recipe for their Special Sauce every couple of months to keep interest up.

theres a word for what you describe i think its "sequel"

its extremely unplausible that they have a sequel planned so there's no point in this discussion

Yes, it was a dream.  But if you have played Unspoken on Oculus with Oculus Touch, you would understand  the dream.

The engine is not perfect for DDO anyway.  Moving is not, worked out - (people get sick) - So they teleport instead of moving.

It's just that the toons would be so fucking awesome in that environment.  Cosmetics would sell like mad I am sure.

As for the game (Unspoken) it lacks many of the things that make this 10 year old game (DDO) somewhat worth playing.

Impatiently waiting for D&DVR - That shit is gonna rock!

You're planning an entire build for a mid-range card  Sad

idk, there are some games which can be imho handled with VR well, and some that not.

first isue is controls - how would u solve ten+ hotbars setup people usually use in DDO without either simplyfying the game so it becomes couple buttons masher or bringing in some poping up ui and thus ruin hardly gained immersion.

second one is immersion itself - VR atm works great if its simulating cockpit - the freelook is awesome. And i believe it would work awesome with some mechwarrior game with hydraulic feedback seat (tried that one with truck game in our office and it feels great).
But it looses a bit when u have to push buttons to move yourself. And even more if u use it for TPS game.

Solid

A half-dozen boss Vaulties donated generously with real money to my classroom during a fundraiser in May 2015 to get poor kids books to read. I won't forget that. They know who they are, and they freaking rule.

No need for a new engine man, we need more content, and QOL.

Just my opinion.

You would need to see Unspoken in Oculus to know where my opinion is coming from.
Actually play it - not a youtube vid.  Free Demo's at most best buy stores.

Doh! I meant 1080! I'm getting a 1060 in my laptop next month, and my brain short circuited Sad

Yeah, it's not the top of the line, but when I build a new gaming PC I build 4 so my whole family can play, and I get more enjoyment from playing together than I would get from the extra resolution I'd get from the top end cards but only getting one.

I even thought of going with the AMD mid-range, but I love the nVidia stereo rendering, I'm betting that will make a big difference in VR.

The DDO engine is fine, it's the Engine room (Turbine) that needs replacing.

Why thank you.
It's nice to receive positive feedback from your victims.
It helps to tailor your demonic service offering.

Why you'd be proud of spending an eternity in a lake of fire that burns but does not consume, impaled on Satan's thorny cock, is beyond me; oh wait, it's not: you're a faggot.
