That must mean you were already online.  People who had been trying to log in for a while now had been stuck at the character load screen with no progress.

Basically, Turbine woke up this morning, realized they had a problem, and then decided the only option was to reboot the servers.  So, average Thursday.

Seriously, does anyone feel like Turbine troubleshooting is the equivalent of the layperson's troubleshooting a computer at this point?  Can't fix the lag on your servers, have you tried turning them off and on every Wednesday?  Are you sure they're plugged in?  Maybe repeat this process on Thursday too for good measure.

I was on for about 4 hours doing a LR20 rebuild, lucky for me I finished just in time.
