Since doing 2 barb lives and a monk I've been thinking about some of the problems I've seen for people in heroic Reapers. Sometimes my groups would bite off more than they could chew, e.x., skull 5 rescuing Arlos. I mean we got it done... but it was not efficient rXP or XP / min...

In low levels a Barbarian with Ear Smash and temp HP is brutal, but they level off around 12 even with the addition of ravager healing. Monks tend to pick up speed @ 12 dramatically. Kukan-do is a reaper killer and Rise of the Phoenix is just great for soloing.

Lack of UMD as a class skill on these classes seems to hurt quite a bit, and many of the spell effects that would kill a character are evadable ones. The AC of the monk is amazeballs but in some ways is dependent on martial past lives w/o building too much.

-> I think the problem for monk is solved easily---add a single artificer level @ 1 to give them UMD as a class skill, trapping, repeater proficiency (until you get whirlwind @ 7 or 9), the FEAT scroll mastery +1 (+2 UMD, and +1 caster level), and the enhancement for 4 AP in Aracnotechnician that grants Scroll Mastery for +75% scroll healing.  Going Gnome on any toon can give scroll mastery as an enhancement, but this does not come with the UMD.

-> The problem for Barbarian is a bit sillier... Their THF feels great and I know people love Supreme Cleave -> Supreme Cleave -> Great Cleave -> Cleave -> Earsmash as a button mashing BANANZAAAAAA!!!A!@!!A!!... FUCKYOURPET

I just don't think raging is worth it, and not being able to scroll heal the other people in party makes you a pariah. Seriously. Fucking get some healing. So we can do rogue or arti... Well Rogue gives evasion and costs 8 AP for scroll mastery (Arti grants it for 4AP and has a 2 UMD advantage). Fuck it lets go for evasion.

6. Fighter for at least 6 more levels...

16ish AP Frenzied
8ish AP Ear Smash
8ish AP Mechanic (@lvl 9 to get scroll healing goodies) -> 4AP if you're a Gnome

Artificer would enable heavy armor. I don't know if the AC / PRR / Slavelords @ lvl 8, would be better than evasion.
