Since we use the same engine as LOTRO its very possible they'll port DDO to 64-bit in a year or so.

Yay?

What does this even mean?

If it means I get visible capes/cloaks and fully animated Dwarf beards like LotR, I am 100% for it.

If not... It's just hogging more system resources.

As an aside: I often wonder, with all the complaints the Devs make about the "spaghetti code", how much it would cost to outsource the entire base code to Chinese slaves to rebuild sparkly and new for $1, and then reboot the whole thing with a nice clean slate.

I'm thinking it couldn't cost more or waste more time than whatever they pissed away paying Wil Wheaton for his fucking musings.

I'll leave Flav and Old Coaly to field that question.  Wink

Personally I'd love it.

not gonnan take the bait.... got my main PC to troubleshoot/fix/repair/replace.

( MSI mainboard cycling through 10, 15, 19, 3x, 5X, then 4F and restart again... had that before vacation, managed to get it back back up, and fully expected it not to restart when back... which is the case, it almost started but I fucked up and had to reboot it... it's unpluigged, with the battery removed right now, and I'll try to power it back up in an hour or two to see if it is willing to come back up... I'll probably end up shopping for a new PC tomorrow or monday.  )
