The Unique Index and Key is the character name... and for whatever reason they have to delete it before recreating it.

I don't get it too, as I said it's clunky ( and sloppy work ) but that's how it works as reported by several people, including devs....  Roll Eyes

and no I don't have nightmares about orphaned database entries. My nightmares are more exotic and not work related.

The whole thing is done behind the scene when you enter the game after recreating your character :
When you press enter game at the last panel, the game tells the server to transfer all the stuff in the Character ID Cachen and delete teh character from it's database. Then it tells the server to create a new character with the new calues and add the Character ID as a tie in to the Cache.


It's not really that behind-the-scenes, nor at TR or character creation time.

When you step onto the Korthos Shipwreck Shore, you can see all your gear still in your inventory.  It disappears, hopefully into your TR cache, as you stand there lagged out with Jeets asking, "Can you move?"

IIRC the only "Rages" that prevent casting are Madstone effects and Barbarian.

I wondered why the fuck would they include this in the cleric Domains when it only applies to a couple REALLY niche builds/effects.

Unless there is something I am missing?

Niche meaning only 2 types of Rage in game prevent casting.

Barbarian Rage and Madstone Rage?

Niche meaning Barbarian Mixed with Cleric.

Niche meaning "who uses Madstone Boots as a caster any more"

Mixing any of the other Melee domains with any other class mix is less niche than Barb/Cleric and/or Madstoned Cleric/Melee mix.
