except we talking here about a splash build which is usually 14rog/6monk and has most of the defenses that a pure monk gets w/ rogues natural defenses.

The 14/6 option is 6% slower runspeed, 15s wings/step vs 3s for pure monk, 9AC from levels (more depending on scaling bonuses), worse saves, the differences between Adept and GM stances unless you burn two extra feats, etc.

The rogue/monk option would probably be better though if you were only going to 20 then TRing.  Trapping on the rogue version is attractive and being able to pickup the 15% attack speed bonus early makes it more front-loaded than a monk.

If you're planning to stay at 20+ or doing epic TRs, I think the monk is the better option.  More DPS, better defenses, faster runspeed.

Either choice would likely be fine at the end of the day.

One problem is that pure monk gives you 75 melee power from enchantments and rogue 14 / monk 6 give you (if you get tier 5 from acrobat) a total of 40 melee power. Any comments?

35 melee power is pretty important, especially for crits and SA damage.

one more thing is which tier 5 tree one can focus on a split. If we get in mind easy tr to level 15 (shadar kai, that means at least 1 rogue level) the splits can be either 14 rogue/ 6 monk, 18 monk /2 rogue or maybe 12 / 8 (here i do not know what class is favored..) and a plus is that with a lesser heart or just an epic tr you respect to a great shuriken thrower if you find melee reaper unplayable.

Same is for pure monk but with the minus of the 20 levels you have to play to get there (pure monks also make great shuris..)

Please i would like your opinions on that...

I suspect that if you're not going pure monk, the 14/6 rogue/monk split is the best option.

Let me know if there are any points of Dexterity I missed..

Pure monk could hit ~100 standing dex before ravenloft.

Pure Monk can obtain a total of 9d6 monk-related standing SA. Total standing all together would be 17d6. (halfling + SD) Boosting can go to 24d6.

Crap, ur right. forgot about the capstones 5d6.. Rogue is still better, they get 7d6 just from levels, and then 4d6 from ninja. on top of halflings is another 3d6, not sure what SD is supposed to be referencing here.. too many SD possibilities, assuming Shadow however, which would be another 5d6 passive, 2d6 burst. Total: 19d6 standing, 21 boosted (not sure what other boosts you are including to gain 7 additional dice, i can only account for 2 of those.. )
