Been watching some streams here and there, and I gotta say, I'm intrigued.  Looks like a lot of fun.

Yadda yadda EA yadda yadda BioWare SJW crap yadda yadda

Seems buggy as hell, of course, but they seem to be patching as they go, and a lot of the bugs are fixed before the hate squads can post their UGH GAEM BRAEKING videos, which is kinda neat to watch.

I need a new PS4 time filler, anyway, and there looks to be a lot of content updates and events planned already.

A guy named Sitarow is streaming to youtube in 4K daily:

I loved Andromeda even though all the anti-sjws were shitting all over it. The internet is a giant hate boner cummin for us all.

I'll probably pick it up in 2-3 months when it goes on sale. The combat looks great and the world looks gorgeous. If you grab it let me know if its good bacon.

I've decided to go this route as well; the game looks fun as hell, but that's a lot to pay for 30ish hours of gameplay off the bat.  The update schedules look promising, and I assume there will be many bug fixes and rebalances along the way, but I don't want to grind like hell just to get my money's worth only to have the level cap raised twice before the end of the year.

Not holding my breath for an actual sale, this is a new attempt at the games-as-service philosophy, sort of a hybrid between ARPG and MMORPG.  Maybe I'll get lucky and find a physical copy for sale used.

In the meantime, I've been trying out Warframe, pretty neat so far.

Yes! This!! I played the Anthem open demo & it lead me to Waframe, I've been playing since

Feb. 7th I went down the Rabbit hole HARD.

Doesn't hurt Digital Extremes is in my home/current city of London, ON.

I like it a lot. They just redid the Alert system as well it's much better now.

Redoing Melee combat soonish as well.

Awesome! Yeah I've only playing since Feb. 7th so that for what it's worth.

I love the making things in the foundry the frames & the weapons etc.

I love the meleeing, apparently there's a melee 3.0 incoming.

You don't have to buy content or weapons or frames they just release them.

Plus anyways you can just trade for plat in game for stuff no problem.

You need to buy eventually some frame & weapon slots that's about it.

Nothing is pay to win that I can see at least at this point it's all cosmetic stuff so.

Combat & movement is super fun.

Bugs? yes def but tell me a game that doesn't have any bugs? Wink Lolz

Oh yeah the prime stuff, you can get that as well running fissures/rifts as well so.

Well most of it.

It's overwhelming!

I swear, every time I pull up my quest screen there's a new "thing" to figure out.

I used these first beginner Warframe vidoes by iFlynn to help me get going:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=98lT1Ba9ej0

But I'm sure your already past that.

The other refreshing thing which I didn't touch is:

The surprisingly NON toxic gaming community, almost after every mission/group(squad)

I'm turning around & adding friends who have gone out of their way to help in some way shape or form.

I got into a good clan & alliance they've helped out immeasurably!

I haven't even touched Syndicates/factions as of yet.
(but looks like that's where you get the specific Warframe mods from).

I'd recommend getting into that asap, they're mostly an experience grind and you're wasting it by putting them off.

It's worth noting that you can have up to 4 allies and only 2 enemies of you're willing to level accept levelling them up at half the normal rate.

Just about to hit prestige lvl 3, so something else to figure out.

Mostly, I like the no hand-holding, but figuring out where all the UI elements are hiding for various things has been a bit frustrating.  I've muddled through it, though I'm probably missing a bunch of stuff.

The level ranges for missions and quests that are provided seem... off.  I get hard to kill lvl 20+ mobs in what's supposed to be a lvl 8-10 quest, but I can burn through an invasion defense quest for lvl 14-16 one-shotting most stuff.  Not sure what the suggested level even refers to, actually, as I'm prestige lvl 2 but my melee weapon and 'frame are at 30.  Ah well, die and learn, I guess.  Nothing lost but time.

Movement and combat are just so damned satisfying, and all the different things to level up (repeatedly!) are likely going to keep me playing this for a long time.

Fuck I knew that would come back to bite me in the ass.

As well to get better archwing stuff you have to do that/this & then trade between players. :\

Thanks for the heads up Munk!

I just finished the Natah quest last night & beat the spectre in the junction to access Neptune(you have to do Natah it's a requirement for that junction).

So progressing slowly but surely.

We are on a Warframe break right now but these are some guide I have used in the past often go back to to refresh my memory.

edit

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1dGnyG-5YZcDF95737ofVfWnR1UoaaBfz2HTcyKN0Zps/
edit  might be a bit dated

https://forums.warframe.com/topic/943339-eidolon-hunting-starter-guide/  This is what my son and I were doing last we played, grinding teralyst kills and getting XP for...spoilers just get to unlocking the planets and do the main story lines quests..it's worth it.

IF you do open void relics and get junk parts don't just sell em for credits, keep em to trade to Baro K'Teer as he has some stuff you can only get from him and uses special currency by trading in parts.

https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Baro_Ki%27Teer

I also have these timer/trackers bookmarked:

https://deathsnacks.com/wf/

https://raidtime.net/en/game/tool/warframe/alarm/pc/13e4970b99694f20cf7324335d20
7cbd

and last but not least:

https://wf.xuerian.net/b4eddb3c-f666-4d8a-ae04-99e058b516a1#welcome

To help keep track of what you need for what warframe etc etc

As for credits pug index runs when you get that unlocked but before that you can do some quick 5min Gabii runs on Ceres though becareful on pug on gabii as some people go there to stay longer than 5 mins as they wish to level up weapons. I liked Gabii cause it easy to solo/duo for 5 mins then you just leave n repeat for an easy 20/25k credits.

Oh and:

https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Weapons_Required_as_Crafting_Ingredients

cause as you know you only get mastery XP for the first time you level up a warframe or weapon also just in case:

Shared affinity (Xp from team-mate kills, affinity orb pick-ups, mission objectives, Riven challenges and those personal challenges like Rifleman) is split 25% to the frame and 75% to your weapons.  If you have three weapons then thats an even 25% all round but if you have only one weapon then it'll get 3x as much as your frame from other people's kills, ironically getting more Affinity from someone else killing than it does from you using it to kill.  If you have two weapons then they each get 37.5% so they still get more from actually being used.

I went from finishing the Witcher 3 to Warframe.

It felt Warframe had almost no story at all for the first 3/4 of the star chart & then suddenly BAM, lore, story & actual quests, it was awesome.

A couple of things I'd add to your post of resources (note I've been on a break since for about a year, so it's possibly out of date):

General Trading website.

Riven trading website

Octavia Songs

Web based mastery tracker

spreadsheet mastery tracker  Much more in-depth than any online trackers I knew of, but possibly out of date by now.

Ah yes nice, I have been on a break for about 6 to 8 months now though my son still pops in now n then but yeah I used the general trading market quite a bit, otherwise you get thoroughly scammed just using the in game trade chat channel.

For rivens I used to use the folrun discord bot for a general idea but not sure how accurate it is anymore etc so your riven trading website might be better.

Have fun guys!

Just come back, hoping to somehow get to tier 29 on nightwave for that Umbral forma (to use on Valkyr Prime) & want to be ready to get an Equinox Prime Asap.

Stumbled across a new online mastery tracker, which whilst harder to follow than the one I linked earlier, does show which relics are required for your remaining prime parts.   I'm actually using both, I've got the framedex open on a  secondary monitor whilst running void fissures (to easily see what parts I should pick up) & I've started using warstuff.org to see which relics I need to upgrade.
