Here is a bit of an obvious issue, but needs to be said as several folks new and old have PM'd asking to buy boxes.
Ah! we do not sell boxes, stones, tomes, tokens, etc... we give them away randomly on all servers several times a week, so you can try to get lucky that way. Keep your eye on public chat channels, our distributors, known as Grand Fellows will start posting open invitations to come and dance, play, and receive various "blessings of Grand" (its code for loot).
Otherwise, you can look into the blessings of Grand info online, DDO wiki, ddovault, ddo main forums, then you can try to spread the word by pranks, posts, videos, etc... Also you can take new players under your wing, give them loot! or even more powerful things like ADVICE and connections, or invite them into your guild, show somebody how to complete some tough low lever stuff none of us ever even think about what it was like to do at first anymore much less play. Or get an old raid pal back involved by helping them farm out new gear. Hell, start a weekly Raid widely advertising it is "sponsored by the Grand fellows". Really it is anything you can think up that will spread the word that we should all try to help other players and ourselves become more powerful or dare we say: become more GRAND!! all while tweaking the nose of SSG, especially Cordovan and Severlin.
But! To reiterate, just being a dick to Jerry won't do it, it has to be the kind of things that spreads the word of Grand and his many blessings. This is for two reasons:
1- Grand's ravenous ego
2- At its heart, this is a full bore campaign enlist as many people as possible into doing end-runs around the massive Grind-Beast that has become fully entrenched in recent years. An effort to save the game from its keepers if you know what I mean.
See, back in the day, I could occasionally post an exploit or two for giggles. But when the new LGS system was about to drop and impose a truly obscene grindfest and all the attending shit that Turbine/SSG just didn't get... well I did what had to be done and researched then posted the LGS dupe loudly and widely, and gave away mats like crazy in the brief window before they closed it. I also went out of my way to make sure as many Forum Paladins got the stuff too, so they were nervous about bitching about the duping on the Mains. It worked for a little while... it also fed my aforementioned Ego. In retrospect, it dinged the projected revenue the LGS was expected to produce and it even had some little impact on the timeframe and types of systems they went with going forward, but soon enough the Grind was back, and even badder... Past lives baby!!!! expansions, systems, etc... It was like LGS never happened.
But finally this spring something old became new again... something powerfully old & truly new. Thus I began plotting, churning, burning, spurning (sorry I love alliteration), for a way to run around the grindiest bits, to not make just one 3/3/3 toon but an ARMY OF THEM!!!! rank upon rank of them sneering at the grind, playing only what they wanted, toons with all past lives, max tomes, who could get by with just about any fucking gear... gods.... titans... my children!!!! All thumbing their noses in spite at SSG and the 'Man'!! all feeding my aforementioned ego!!! And so, the Blessings of Grand, and the Grand Fellows were born!
Now go do Grand stuff and get Grander stuff.
God bless. Cause chaos. I salute you.
