	This doesn't so much catch bots as outsmart them in a really dumb way. Requiring an initial post here outsmarts 99% of the bots that get through all the other, much more sophisticated, security. My guess is that bots are typically programmed to drop their initial post in an existing thread that is not in the first board of the forum. Unfortunately, socks are not nearly as easy to outmaneuver. I would wager that 90%+ of all new members since I re-enabled registration are Grand.
