Is there an up to date file editor that lines up the hotbars mo betta than free handing them?  I see there is an older version that is no longer available.

If not, what are you doing with your ui?  What resolution are you using and what size monitor?

I am at 1440 x 900 on a older 19” Samsung widescreen.  Nothing fancy by any means. I am starting to look around for something a little bigger and just seeing what’s what these days.

/ui layout save <filename>

go into $Dungeons and Dragons Online/ui/layouts

edit <filename> with your favorite text editor.

There's a whole section just for the shortcutbars :
Code
Select All
    <Layout ID="0x22000069">
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut0_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.394922" Y="0.896759"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut1_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.394922" Y="0.934722"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut2_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.499870" Y="0.935648"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut3_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.289974" Y="0.896759"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut4_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.604818" Y="0.935648"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut5_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.604037" Y="0.856018"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut6_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.499089" Y="0.856944"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut7_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.499870" Y="0.896759"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut8_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.604818" Y="0.895833"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut10_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.289193" Y="0.936574"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut9_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104427" X="0.395182" Y="0.854167"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut11_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.184245" Y="0.936574"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut12_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.153776" Y="0.004167"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut13_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.184766" Y="0.856944"/>
      <Element Height="0.040741" ID="UndockedShortcut14_Horizontal_MarkerList" Width="0.104688" X="0.291016" Y="0.855093"/>

Now I only know it exists, I have no real idea of what the values means so you'll have to experiment.

And I only know it exists because... of something I need to put in Fairy Farts.

Interesting.  It looks like a basic xml format with width, heigh, and x and y positions normalized between 0 and 1.  If I made up a ui to write out this file with better snapping etc,  would that be something that people would be interested in?  Trying to decide on just editing my file or building something out where others can do it easily too.

I’d be interested. Probably others as well.  When I was looking at the file, I was trying to answer the question “where is the zero/center/ starting point when using these coordinates?”  I was going to give it a go, but an untrained one.  If you know this stuff well, maybe the process would go a lot quicker.  My other thoughts after I searched out the starting point was how to make it modular.  I would make the customization a little more basic/easy for people who just need some organization.  And anyone who knows the stuff can build off what was already done like an open source for personal use and not for sale.

Maybe these questions are evident to the trained eye.  But it’s the direction I was going to try and mess around with this.

Why even go down to that detailed a level though? Just set up your toolbars once, save the layout then load it when you TR.

Save multiple layouts as required, load the one you want.

The layout is identical everytime, not sure why your overthinking it  Undecided

OCD Levels of wanting my ui snapped together with everything else with pixel perfect accuracy and no gaps.  Just trying to see if anyone else is as weird as me.  Also I think I'd find making the tool fun and would probably learn a bit about manipulating a ui.

I was interested in eliminating overlapping ui elements.  Sometimes  having to click something underneath requires 2 clicks, one to bring to front, 2nd to activate button.  I have had this happen with hot keys too but mainly it effects my situational items that I click instead of key.

The scope and pioneering factor was unknown to me.  So I figured there might be something out there that I’m not seeing or that lack of access to the ddo file part of this would shut it down.

Yeah for some reason code templates show with the scroll bar to the bottom on here and I didn't bother scrolling up to the document line,  I just looked at a few entries.

I'm as weird as you. The UI layout drives me nuts.

I'll never understand the propensity of people to brag about being good at a video game. Its a toy you play with for fun. The only person who should be proud of you is your mother. If you're 3.
