Since I mentionned in the open that the Ravenloft Expansion is an exact adaptation of the Ravenlof campaign from PnP...

Here are some scans to let you check up. they are straight from the book

And with that You have all Castle Amber and Ravenloft Castle... but there's maps for all the other quests ( as well as text description of what to expect in each and every room ) in the book.

Thank God it was Flav who posted those, if Fire I mean, Five foot Step had done it, he would be trying to mooch money off of us for the priviledge for the next week or two!

I notice the maps in the books are laid out WAY more logically, so that's nice.

Fucking HATE the way they did the maps in DDO's version. Practically fucking useless.

Death House and Sunrise may as well not have maps. DDO always has a problem with multifloor maps, so Castle Ravenloft, Amber Temple, and Oath of Vengeance maps are only about halfway usable.

Still, I don't mind Ravenloft for the most part. I happen to believe that Invitation to Dinner is one of the best quests SSG/Turdbine have made in years. Sunrise is pretty fun too. Most of the others - I can take em or leave em, but at least I don't dislike playing them the way I dislike playing some shit like ToEE or Slavers.

I'm confused.  I thought you were talking about maps, so why the reference to Jerry?

From an American point of view I'm even probably a rabid Communist...
Even if from a Frog point of view I'm on the right side of the spectrum.

Now since the American spectrum left starts on the right on Marine Le Pen, Anything from The Rassemblement National  to Lutte Ouvrière ( Trostkists ) can be considered as socialist. ( and yes that include the remnants of the Socialists and the few crumbling Communists we have left hiding in the bushes. )

I would like invitation to dinner 100 times more if the map actually worked. That is literally the only caveat and 90% of why I don't run Ravenloft(the other 10% is amber temple).

I'm with you on Sunrise - I had to run that one scores of times for gear farming but it wasn't a chore. Slavers is actually laid out in a logical enough fashion that you don't really need a map. Very different from anything in castle ravenloft where you can and WILL walk in circles without guidance.

You missed the qualifier "practically". If I had been referring to Jerry I would have said "totally"

I noticed that none of the spiral stairs have vertical ridges along the walls.

Who's brightest idea was it to put that shit in DDO? Feels like its there to spite the players who would have preferred an options to glide across the side walls instead of jerking your camera every 1.5 seconds to the right or left...

ridges are more there to keep folks from being able to kite backwards easily

the original ravenloft (I6) is from 1983, Ravenloft II (I10) is from 86.  Then there was a Ravenloft campaign setting in the 90s ( for ADD2 ).  The above maps comes from the book Called Curse of Stradh from 2016.
