Does this get him an account ban forum ban or just an infraction?
If they account ban him and he forgets to remove CC info they will keep charging him LOL.

Forum ban is different from game ban.
He will at least get an infraction. But if this is his first violation of conduct it is highly unlikely that he gets a fulltime ban. Maybe 1 day or 1 week.

But what do I know? Maybe Cordovan puts on his best clown mask and goes full on monkey.

if i had a sock on shithole forums i would very kindly explain to him that the loot system is designed around multiboxing, not parties, and instead of putting up an lfg and waiting indefinitely in vain, (which rng loot system clearly demonstrates as a waste of time) he should have 5 multibox accounts to loot off of and not waste time with the irrelevant lfg system or useless grouping. 6 alts all rerolling 3 times each run is 96 dice rolls, which just about hits the 1:100 or better chance his loot goals are bound to, each run of his potential 7 til ransack. then i would tell him if he was specifically looking for a team based dnd experience then he should have chosen to play one of the titles designed around that concept, which ddo simply is not. it would be important to indicate that the error is his while completely dismissing the concept of team play as infeasible. then i would never reply to anyone baited into contradicting these points, exclusively replying in support of anyone who posts in agreement.

this promotes multiboxing, which devs and gimps hate
this promotes soloplay, which devs and gimps hate
this exploits and circumvents rng and timegates, which devs depend on for longevity and artificial scarcity
this discourages teamplay, which gimps hate
this discourages use of the lfg, which gimps depend on for loot and completions
and it dismisses and ignores the OP's complaint, which anyone with reading comprehension and emotions should hate

His start date is 2006 so I guess he is slow on the uptake.
I have dragged 5 account around helping people loot.
It is kinda fun doing it for someone else.
I just think it is funny when they ban an account but keep charging VIP.

I told him I would drop the subject once he admitted to running with the victim in game. And it feels icky asking him anything after that admission. He played like he read the forum and reported but it was more personal and he still probably groups with the chump.

Probably because of the thread's title itself.

Doesnt multi boxing only really work for content that you get for free, unless you REALLY want to buy expansions for multiple alt accounts just to multi box farm for gear?

Well if you did the free quests code there's a shitload of content. You could also grind favor on the alt accounts and buy xpacs with favor points.

There are also full-blown playstyles that involve multi-boxing, made especially easier by the advent of awesomeAF. If you wanted to there are ways to play that are more than just chest-pullers.

I find it funny how DDO's hemorrhaged so many players over the past decade, and introduced so many dumb systems, that multiboxing is the go-to method for many styles of play. Generating more slayers for Orchard/Thunderholme/etc. Pulling more chest loot. Soloing some quests like Xorian Cipher which are not soloable otherwise. Opening Shadow Crypt. The list goes on.

It's ass-backwards and yet Turbine has repeatedly shown they want these systems. In recent years, they've started taking named items AWAY from the 3rd completions, and instead put them in chests: e.g. Delera's, Catacombs. Newer packs/expansions like Sharn, Failwild, and Tethymar only give loot through chests. This sort of thing explicitly and unequivocally promotes multiboxing.

Anyway, I'm late to the party and wasn't able to even view the forum thread before it got deleted. (What was the complaint about???) If the title was so offensive, I'm not sure why Cordoban couldn't just change the title, instead of nuking the entire thread.

I don't believe multi-boxing today is any more prevalent than it was 10 years ago. Its always been a very niche style of play, and really up until the free quests code came along it was extremely rare to find anyone multi-boxing with more than a single alt account

I actually dual-boxed Shadow Crypt waaaaaaaaaay back in the day. But I just borrowed a friend's account who already had it. It was kind of nuts but a lot of fun.

SSG actually outlined their(completely retarded) logic for doing this. Apparently its not possible for the quest-giver to know what difficulty you completed the quest on(and no one at SSG is aware of how dumb that sounds); so they had to get rid of third time completion rewards in order to make us play on higher difficulties. Its so dumb and incompetent that I can't even, but that's the why of it.

the title was "F you SSG, I'm out!" or something to that effect. A(now former player) was complaining about the clearly bugged drop rates and how they finally quite over it. Some people in the thread were discussing multi-boxing as a way to deal with the bugged drop rates. Because we have to just play around the bugs, not get SSG to fix them.

I do not have a real problem with you. I know what it is like to be overly involved in this game. I love this game. Just real life can only be neglected for so long.I want to log in everyday but instead do real life farming so to say.

The joke here is that the Vault is entirely unmoderated. You can report all the posts you want but Strake ain't gonna lift a finger.
