Someone seriously explain to me how these people still have jobs.  If you fucked up this badly in any other job on the planet, numerous employees would have their heads on the chopping block by this point. 

I very literally know people who got fired from bullshit jobs like managing a McDonalds because they overslept and lost an hour’s worth of revenue for a company that a single store’s daily profit doesn’t even count as a drop in a bucket.  There has to be a breakdown of how much they earn an hour and every added downtime equals loss of revenue and this update has had far more patches that past ones that brought bigger changes.

This is hands down the worst update I’ve seen in nearly a decade, which says something considering it’s a company whose name has become synonymous with incompetence and failure.  The motherboards are just flooded with complaints and even some of the most die-hard fanboys aren’t supporting them anymore.  It’s not even worth creating a new thread because it just gets lost in the 17 page sea of butthurt they’ve accumulated since the launch of a bunch of changes no one wanted.

Is this because the liberals are taking over?  Do they just hang out in the breakroom as a safe space, hugging each other going “no, it was a good update.  It’s just the mean, cis genders harassing us”?

Because bigger idiots keep giving them money.

If liberals ran the company you wouldn't be able to have dwarves because it's offensive, or the haggle skill because it was anti-semetic.

If conservatives ran it you wouldn't be able to choose a skin tone other than pale white, or post polls on the forums because they don't want people to vote.

I would add that they have the ultimate job security; they can't be fired because no one in the industry would take the job if it came open.

Supporting legacy code is not exactly a ton of fun.
Most of the devs don't play the game for fun anymore.

What you get then is a rational perception of the game rather than the developers being led by their nose for fun.

Add to this time crunch and release grind with low pay and you get our current situation.

Also it is remarkable how he just makes game changes based on forum posts. I mean in my line of work you'd at least have to run it up the flagpole. Executive producer or team meeting type of approval. Not SSG. Just rule by forum paladins.

My hotbars go up as a I level.  Right now, my 16 sorc has 7.  By the time I hit 30 it will probably be 10 or 11.
