Free name change with a free server transfer? (Read 1537 times)

	As I understand it, if you transfer to another server and your character name is already taken, you are given an option to change the name, right? Lets say you’re main is named “Fatherklein”, and you want to change it to “Sackofshit” So you made a f2p account and on the destination server you create “Fatherklein” and “Sackofshit” Right before you transfer, log into the alt account and delete “Sackofshit” making the name available. Transfer “Fatherklein” and select “Sackofshit” as your new name. Would this work?

	Typical SSG douchbag support. I tested it with a free swap from Wayfinder to Orien. No option for a name change, they just added "~1" to the name. So you get Fatherklein~1

	This was posted in the dev tracker by cordo If your name is being used on the world you are transferring to, your name will be appended with a -1 and you will be granted a one-time free rename credit. While logged into the character you wish to change the name of, type /changename (new name) into the chat panel to change your name. Not sure if that will help ya but worth a shot

	not necessarily on topic, when in a situation i expect to incur a ~1, i try to format names in a manner that the ~1 completes it; spontaneous example: "Some Stinks" becomes "Some~1 Stinks"

	I miss Kelltore he made this vault entertaining to me and put me in my place so much that I became him, it was the first instance I have ever done this! I have never been so upset on this forum to the point I had to become someone else!
