What I'm hearing from someone I've quested with on/off a long time is the 33% nerf is it was actually more like 40-50% on Lama when he tested it. He is a long time nuker and I've run plenty of R8-R10 with him, I lean towards trusting his results.

But of course, we shall see.

What kind of clueless fuck thinks casters doing less damage helps melees? Yeah, standing next to mobs attacking them and having them die slower as they attack you will surely help.

Still zero melee survivability buffs. But hey. they needed to do something, this is something, so they need to do this. Fucking retards. In a non pvp game a nerf to one is a nerf to all.

How about buffing melees a bit instead of hurting the casters? Or maybe give Reaper difficulty mobs a bit more MRR??

Human nature is why. Everyone feels a sense of schadenfreude at witnessing another person's toy get slapped down.

God knows for years I had the biggest hate boner for monks, and I honestly couldn't tell you why. But I reveled in the monk nerfs.

Now years later and with a wider understanding of balancing a game from dealing with the industry. I realize the nerf approach is awful when it's a blanket nerf like this.

DDO would be better off buffing melees and nerfing the outliers in this case, which would really only require changing Frozen Wanderer and not even adjusting the classes for 'dip your toes in' approach to see how a balance pass works.

I never really played casters before so forgive my ignorance in this question but with the nerfs in R10 it is excessive and me personally as a Melee Player I loved watching you all nuke entire mobs in on R10 I love seeing you destroying them so I’m sad seeing you nerfed, but my Question is, is that a huge debuff realisticly if you PROC Helplessness with Ottos Sphere or Mass Hold and such for Crowd Control, Don’t casters benefit from helpless debuff for their spells like Melee? Because A lot of builds I see take advantage of Helplessness Debuffs for extra boosts and the percentage of extra damage can be a extra 40-70% damage if not more so if you PROC the debuff with CC spells doesn’t this counteract the debuff to overall dps? Again I understand this is a huge nerf and not something to sneeze about if you enjoy the class, I was still pissed about my Barbarian Two Handed Feat Rework Destroyed a lot for me too a year or two ago. So I guess I’m wondering if spell casters take advantage of this debuff too with their spells?
