i havent paid attention enough in a long time to give any kind of experience based answer, the first time i read the thread my brain wanted to say that the intended outcome would be that the shield specific enchantments would only effect shield bashes. i no longer remember specific examples but i am sure that is the intent and historical norm for shield enchantments. this is not to say it is impossible that this item or others were intentionally made to convey enchants to all attacks, such as in the case of runearm metal types and extra damage. however i also feel like i remember multiple things (not well enough to name them, just remember the situation) that should not have applied their effects to attacks but still did as a result of oversights from people who dont play their own game and arent creative enough to properly conceive or test all possible interactions. so i didnt answer because i saw no value in a pile of speculation based on 6 year old memories for current content.

I might just suck it up and make a couple of the augments and then go run some quests/wilderness to replace them. If I make two things that I want on my main hand weapon just to test, it's only going to cost me one bonepicker, and I bought a handful of them when they were on offer.

If I do and get a definitive answer, I will post here for anyone else who doesn't know already.

The bigger question is: what the hell build uses a shield these days? Sword and Board is dead. DEAD.

Currently Baz, but I have enough runes for the Dread one. I might need the named raid belt to keep my dread set bonus while using both hands on the Dread Axe though.

I have 220 Strikethrough with the Dwarven Axe, but you only get 1.6x Ability Damage Mod. I might try Fighter later (Barb at the moment) to compare defensive stats and then try to boost attack speed with some Vanguard. Hmm actually 21 Points required to gain 10% attack speed...

I'm not sure about shields but I will say this; When on a shuriken build my off-hand weapon
