So I hadn't really played in nearly a year. I'd pop in for an occasional Lords run, log on to get free shit.

Last week I decided to dip into my supply of boxes and snap up all the combo Archetype/Iconic PLs I could get. Once finished with that project, I only needed 2 more and decided, fuck it, I'll box them with 30% potions and just grind it out.

Well, that turned out to be a mistake. I've spent so much damn time between 18 and 20 I just can't fucking stand it anymore. I even tried to get around some of it by doing vale slayers.

I log in a few afternoons ago and complain bitterly that its night time and I'm sick of playing at night. But I get out there and start killing shit.



....and then the sun rose over the Vale of Twilight.

I was in the Shavarath zone, climbing up the hillside chasing mobs. And just there it is, sunrise, and it looked so beautiful. Meridia in the center of the lake, the sun shining off the water. And I remembered, at least for a short time, why I really liked this game.

And then I spent my cheated shards to role out 200,000 XP so I could nope the fuck out of that life.

That's kinda my point, though - the Shroud is how many years old? and its STILL the most beautiful explorer area in the game? Isle of Dreas was a fat sack of crap and don't even get me started on the gaywild. I do love Ravenloft but its more atmospheric than actual pleasantness.

But yeah. Not a fan of the grind fest.
