I've got a Thief-Acrobat, 13r/6m/1f build, and as my second Rogue class feat I took crippling strike. Over the last few weeks I can't say that it has really made a difference, and i'm looking for info on the other options.
In groups, trash mobs die too fast for the -2 str to matter, and bosses are mostly immune to stat damage. So my other other options are Defensive roll, slippery mind, and +1 skills.
Does defensive roll actually WAI, and what is the % of that? As it is written, I kinda assume that it rolls you backwards, mob swings 1 more time and you die.
I'm about 6 mats from getting my RadII weapon, is crippling strike the best option once I get it?

It's been a while since I played, so I don't know if they expanded the list, but yeah, crippling strike was the best choice IMO. It comes in handy for times when you need to hold something but not kill it, though those times are pretty far and few between.

Crippling strike is the shit since even (correct me somoen if Im wrong) even red names can take up to 10 stat damage and that more damage you are preventing, either way dropping somthings str basically igves you more ac (which that really dosen't fucking matter) but reduces damage incoming, so its all good.
Besides that, imp evasion, slippery mind (to save vs nat 1s), and skill mastery are where its at :p
Q&A is the business of pointing out others' failures. Optimists need not apply.

Rogue level 10=crippling strike.
+1 (icy burst) W/E rapier/scimitar(depending on spec)=3 str damage per hit, plus 1d6 every so often.
With icy burst, it just DESTROYS stuff.

Most stuff dies before you get them there though. But it's nice to give everyone an effective +1 DR and +1 AC per swing meanwhile, even if the mob just lives for a few seconds.
Skip Defensive Roll, better to take Skill Mastery there if you are going pure.

so far no traps (save 2 in cabal elite) require skill mastery to be disabled. also slippery mind rocks

Not about traps - it makes UMD usage little easier with less swapping/buffs/slots/skill boosts needed. And since Defensive Roll sucks, not much else to choose from.
Lvl 10 - Crippling strike or Imp Evasion
Lvl 13 - Crippling strike or Imp Evasion
Lvl 16 - Skill Mastery or Slippery Mind
Lvl 19 - Skill Mastery or Slippery Mind
Would be nice if we would have more than 5 possible feats for 4 possible slots though. Or even better, like in PnP, that they'd make the rogue "Special Feats" interchangeble with normal feats.

Thanks for the input guys. Since I only get 2 with this build, i'll stick it out with crippling strike for now. I was unaware that I could take str off Harry, and every little bit helps.
