Dual-boxing question

I have a laptop by my gaming PC which I use for DNG, MyDDO, surfing, GS crafter etc  (OK I'm not fooling anyone, it's for porn, just a lot of porn). This laptop can also run DDO with low graphics settings, so I also use it for a F2P mule account, and for resetting instances etc. I was thinking to dual-box the mule characters when I TR a character on my main gaming maching, but it's tedious to run them up and back to and from all the quest entrances "manually", since I'll have to do it twice, once on my TR on my gaming rig and once on the laptop mule.

Does anyone know some software that sends your key-commands over the network from one PC to another? I know you can do it natively in Linux, but these are Windows 7 machines. Edit: And any other dual-boxing tips or experiences would be great. Thanks!

Make your  mule a caster (I prefer bard myself), then teleport.  Problem solved.

For explorer quests, why would it need to enter the quest? just pop into the explorer area and your set.

I just read that the cat followed up by visiting the dog house later that night, dropping some Willie Pete in on the sleeping dog.  #epochsfamiliarFTW

They are all max Cha bards, with 1 lvl barb splash for running speed. Suppose I should have made them 1 rog/wiz or sorc for quicker teleport access and haggle.

The reason I wan't to dual box my mules is for favor, so I can easily get them full bank and inventory slots. Not so much to level them, although the higher haggle they have, the better of course. So explorers/adventure areas are not what I usually bring them to.

fyi, if your "gaming rig" is powerful enough you can run multiple instances of DDO on the same computer with good results.  I'm just running an i5 with a 2 generation old video card and I leave everything on ultra-high settings for both instances.

It doesn't solve your "getting your mule toon" to the quest entrance issues, though.  but it does make easier to switch between toons.  Get a second or third monitor if you need and have them both going at the same time.  use the Full-Screen Windowed mode and you can easily move the mouse between both of them.

You can set one of your characters to auto-run if you got a long straight path to run to quest, while you get the other toon going.

Do not try the patience of wizards, for they are subtle and quick to anger.

We are dreamers, shapers, singers, and makers. We study the mysteries of laser and circuit, crystal and scanner, holographic demons and invocation of equations. These are the tools we employ, and we know many things.

The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.
