So I'm levelling my ranger to 18 but I'm not sure which feat to take. He has 2 levels of fighter.
I have: Dodge, Mobilility, Spring Attack, 2 improved criticals, Weapon Prof Khopesh, Lightning Reflexes (my reflex is shit and pre-epic there was no reason I needed a +2 bonus to hit) and toughness, power attack.
I'm considering: Stunning Blow, Over Sized Two-Weapon Fighting, and Toughness. (His HP really do suck balls).
Any thoughts?

I'm not much of an expert on rangers, but it seems to me your stunning blow DC's will probably be meh unless you've invested in it and with a ranger you don't have many options there. Sounds like it comes down to a +2 to hit vs. 20 hp. Unless you are seeing a lot of MISS HIT MISS HIT MISS, I'd take the HP.

Im gonna assume this is a str-based dwarf or wf. Stunning blow might be fun. Bah sorry I cant be more helpful.

Actually, depending on Race that can be 50-70 HP for Toughness if you factor in enhancements. (1 Fighter +2-4 Racial).

Alekx: Str based human ranger, actually. One of my earliest projects.
Eladiun: I have one toughness already, and as many enhancements as I can take. The extra toughness would just give me the base HPs.

You considered a Lesser Reincarn Gornn ? Perhaps redoing stats might open up another feat.

Other than CE, are there any feats you were thinking of? CE is the one that leapt to mind initially for me if I was to LR.
Aranticus, I'm leaning toward OTWF, but my HP just suck so bad without a Shroud item it's making me want to punch myself.

Seriously, an extra +2 to hit from OTWF? You probably only miss on 1's, except for epics. I'd take the 20 hps.
Another one to consider might be extend, but rangers don't usually have spell point issues. I'd still go with Toughness.

I took Extend on my 18/2, I had over 400sp with a Wiz +6 item and a PoP X which I switched w/ my Bloodstone after buffing. What I found was that I always shrined before my buffs half wore off to reset clickies and boosts. 18 minutes is longer than most are going to go w/o shrining even if it's just to reset boosts. I felt it was a wasted feat...
Hell, if it wasn't for Haste, Displacement, and Rage I would dump Extend at the cap on my Wizzy. I end up rebuffing half the party at every shrine as it is.

It was when I was finishing decking out my GS before the banhammer. I went with a smoke II cloak for hp and Triple pos/ conc opp / tharnes for sp / poly-functionality in goggles. The epics crew might have some better suggestions for this slot with all the stuff coming out now.
Seems toughness is the most viable option atm Gornn.

he should take otwf to qualify for tempest, then swop out lightning reflexes. or swop out lighning reflexes for otwf and take something else ie toughness. keeping lighning reflexes doesnt do him much good

What about gloves for your HP item? Besides the spectral gloves, what else is there at end game for that slot?
Bracers might be another option. The ToD rings tend to invalidate the Levik's strength benefit makeing them less beneficial than they used to be. Still a good item for the other effects, though.

alright well I guess the cloak slot is out for the new epic raid item and the epic claw set (i'm sure its good if aranticus says so) will take up gloves. bracers it is!
belt and necklace are for tod. goggles are for tharnes.

What does that leave you with? The helm or the boots, right? Wow, with ToD taking up the rings, neck and belt and solid epic items on the cloak, bracers, and gloves, you are really running out of places to put even 1 shroud item on a melee.

Seriously. Since the tempest thing is a necklace, not a belt, I can't get the shintao set so I can maybe sneak it on a belt. But even then I'm sure there's a good belt/ring set for my ranger. Mineral 2 helm instead of minos, maybe. its only a net increase of 25 hp though since im losing the toughness there. ugh. oh well. not worth thinking about until I get the items.
I def. don't know what I'd take on my 40th run. I don't know that a cleansing item is worth it!

I've been trying to figure this out as well as my TR Exploiter gets back to the cap. It's a PITA... I've pretty much come to the conclusion there is no perfect setup but a lot of situational setups.
