A question about TR. . .

I'm rounding out the gear to TR Nellas into a Paladin Intimitank. I intend to TR into Barbarian first (for the extra Health and Intimidate), but I'm beginning to consider the prospect of multiple past lives as a Barbarian. A Drow Intimipally would benefit both from the Health and from a stacking Intimidate. The Intimidate buffs would stack, wouldn't they?

The victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.

Mithran, I have no idea what the answer is to your question.

Cheesy

Now that the disappointment has passed, I'm actually posting because I'm toying with the idea of making a drow intimi-paladin, and I want to ask if you have any advice or could point me in the right direction of where to get ideas on how to make it effective.

I can't help either one of you, but I want to ask if a Half Elf may be better suited for this, since they have the two separate cool downs for intimidate?

This isn't the answer but should get you headed in the right direction.

The required skill ranks after all bonus for some no fail skill check targets are as follows:

    * 79 Epic Queen Lailat (Zawabi's Revenge raid)
    * 80 Elite Xy'xxy (Hound of Xoriat raid)
    * ~62 Normal Suulomades (A Vision of Destruction raid)

Horoth on norm in TOD = 56

Half elf would be the superior choice, it only takes that split second of lag to let horoth cause some decimation.  As which was pretty much stated by stainer.  I am sure stainers question was rhetorical as it is plainly obvious being able to intimidate every 3 seconds (completely nullifying their chance to break) is far superior to just once every six seconds.

The barb past life feat stacks up to a total of three times.  If you want to do three tr's for 30 hp, only one that can stop you is you.  Be forewarned, leveling sucks balls, leveling tr's sucks big hairy balls.  Also, you can only grab the barb feat one time for the +2 intimidate.

It is a biased opinion though, as the I leveled way to many TR's in a short time and thus resulting in my first rage quit where I wiped my account.

I haven't actually done it, but it is my understanding that they do.

How's that for hedging?

Heh!

I suck at builds and have never had an intimitank so I am a little clueless. I was really wondering if Half Elf would be better. With some of the features you can get with dill feats I was thinking it might make it more attractive.

It is definitely better, I have been in many raids where the pug leader thought the intim idea was "cool" so that is what we went with.  A little lag, the trigger of intimidate timer going but the intim not exactly firing off (like barb rage bug and several caster spells), random shit like that would make two intimidates astronomically superior to just one.

One would work, but I prefer anything closer to a guarantee that I can get.  Anyone that knows me ingame would never seriously bring up an intim tank idea for several raids.  IMO that shit is stupid, and it doesn't even compare to the usefulness of DPS.  Since, when you think about, the only intimidate builds are paladins, fighters, and a few barbarians... Which are basically the top melee dps.
