So how is your lag?

Just a general survey, really.

On Khyber yesterday (playing from the UK), I had crippling stutter lag pretty much everywhere, pretty much constantly. Tried an elite short man DQ and effectively piked because spells were landing sometimes, maybe, after 10 seconds. Constant rubberbanding on the airship, House Cannith and the Marketplace, when I gave up playing in disgust and thought I could at least get some bank admin and deconning done. Bank was taking up to a minute to work (I just carried on working and tabbed in and out).

Regularly running up to 30 seconds latency. Completely unplayable. I had a sad Sad This ran from about 3pm UK time to 5 pm UK (so 10 - 12 EST).

Anyone else? I'd never had this level of lag issue before, even when in Japan. Mostly I don't suffer lag so I don't think it's a system problem my end.

Do we think it's going to go away now people have stopped with the exploit? I'm cynical, as lag was never this bad for me when everyone their dog and their cat was selling dowsing rods.

I'm really concerned this is the challenges and this is basically what we are stuck with. I mainly play DDO to play with friends these days, Sad

Yesterday it was ok, actually. Ran my lvl 15 fvs up to 16, did 2 of the shroud flagging quests, the madness chain, and the lag wasn't too bad. I had a yellow latency network indicator twice that evening. That's from 18:00 GMT+2 until about 00:00 GMT+2.

So wasn't too bad. All on Khyber.

It's kind of hard for me to have an accurate estimate as I have just recently TR'd and haven't run anything that usually has a little lag (See: The Shroud). But even running around and doing lowby quests I've noticed an increase, even after the hotfix yesterday. Not horrid, but noticeable.

Sunday evening (GMT time) was impossible for me. I was rubber banding everywhere and spells weren't landing at all, so I just gave up and watched some Skyrim vids on Youtube.

Yesterday evening was ok - managed to do a ToD and some House D epics without any probs, although there were some ppl in my ToD group who were complaining about crippling lag.

Last night was good for me.  I assume the server not having to compute millions of chests per a second freed up some cycles.

Pretty bad on the G-spot.

Stunning blows and healing curses not proccing for 3 to 5 seconds. You would hear the bell and the mob would run away and then stop and be stunned.

I was tanking Steelthorn (Power Play) on hard on my monk and the cleric was bitchin' about heals not going off, then I get 3 in a row.

Hopefully the code will settle out in a few more days and it will be bearable again.

Loot kittys make everything better.

(It's a tradition of mine to summon a trip kitty to bless the chests. Apart from on my pally - she has to make do with a loot bat. And I need to go farm a loot bat stick for my monk sometime Sad )

The DQ2 wasn't bad but that Xorian Cipher run was horrible, as bad as our Shroud lag during drunken raids.

Frankly, the game just ain't been no fun lately.

Tried an elite In the Flesh last night and the lag was really bad in spots.  As others said, mobs didn't register as stunned for several seconds, I died, hits didn't register for several seconds, I died, rubberbanding, I died, spells didn't land, I died.  You know, all the usual things that are only explainable by lag.

Our cleric was really upset because he said that none of his spells were landing.

Lag wasn't too bad but I did start losing some bolts fired on my arti at one point.  It was a short window of about a minute or two last night on Sarlona about 1am or so.  Other than that just fine.

Yeah, this.  Sad  I don't think I'll be playing much until it sounds like this has been fixed.  I mean, more people means more of this problem, if nothing else.  And it really just isn't terribly fun to play the 'omg, when does the lag train show up woo woo?' game.  Sad

I hate it, because I'm a junkie, but it is what it is.  It's just not really a playable game right now.

I heard about that and tried it. She was fine for a while then she went crazy when she saw a rat in the vale and I had to restart. What is it with the vale rats?

Had the game just flat out lock on me a few times recently, on top of the typical delayed action. And my schedules all over the map, so it's not a peak-time issue, either.

been slowly running my most recent TR - so I have been doing lots of midlevel stuff lately - it's been a mixed bag - so quests & times have been AWFUL, while others have been perfectly fine.  Barb though, so I am not sure about spells/ranged misses, but it does seem like swing-misses happen on occation

Had very bad lag the day of U12.  Haven't had too much in the past couple days though.
