Slider on objective window?

Just jumped into a quest to help a guildie out with a pull and noticed something odd.

My objective window has an hour glass on what looks like a slider bar.  Anyone else seen this before?  Any idea what it's about?  We speculated it maybe has something to do with late entry penalties, since I came in at the end of the quest, and maybe it moves as your penalty decreases?  I couldn't manipulate it myself.  No one else seems to know either or has seen it, so might have been a bug from a future update that slipped through.  Kinda curious now.

The Hourglass came with U12, and is now included in every quest where the quest objective involves a timer, VoN6, for example. The dark empty oval thing is supposed to display the remaining time.


What looks like a slider could just be the background skin provided by your custom UI. I mean the light colored part of it.

I haven't done any timed quests since the update, so guess that explains why I haven't seen it.  Strange that I got it on that quest though, since there's no timer in The Sane Asylum.
