U13 Challenge Gear and Cannith Crafting

From the release notes...

Somethin or other like "Challenge Gear will no longer be disconjunctable and craftable at Tier 1 and Tier 2"

This may be old news but for example...

Disjunct a ML16 Elemental Rapier of Air
Add MC Shard (Lowers ML to 13)
Add Holy (Raises ML to 17)

and Get ML17 Holy Elemental Rapier of Air

Keen of Bleed would be nice too

By disjunctable, they mean you can no longer wipe it down to a pure blank, with no abilities. Which you could do before, if you really liked the look of that ice robe, for example.

You'll still be able to add crafting shards to the ones with craftable +3.

disjuncting lowers it's level by 1,
throwing masterfull on it lowers it by another 2

doesn't have a max enchantment bonus, so don't think you can craft it up higher, but never tried it.

It does not clean the item, just lowers the level and preps it for crafting, but it will break the clickies

Yep - disjuncting does not blank these items, just lowers ML, breaks clickies (if any) and adds +2 crafting potential (if the original item was originally ML 8) or +3 crafting potential (if it was ML 12 or ML 16). The crafting potential is not listed on the disjuncted item but it can still be crafted.

Take a Lvl 16 or under challenge item...

In my example I used ML16 Rapier of Air

Use Dust of Disjunction in Decon Device and Rapier becomes "Craftable" with a "Phantom" +3 Potential

Which allows a combo of Prefix and Suffix whose Sum cannot exceed "3"

Holy Shard and Bleed Shard have a total potential of +3 so you can add those now but I use a Masterfull Craftmanship Shard FIRST to lower the ML of Cannith Challenge Gear by 3
then add the effects I want.

Works great for now....Not sure about the clicky part but i did add Proof Against Poison to my Helf Arti;'s ML16 Ring of Master Artifice (LOLing at this) and will check to c if the Recon Clicky works at lunch.

BTW the Lvl 8 Bow of Earth, MC Shard to ML5 then add Holy raising ML to 9 Smiley Beauty!

Oh and you CANNOT increase the Potential beyond the +3 the item gets (I tried)

BUT crafting onto a ML16 Bracer of Wind without using a MC Shard WILL increase the ML beyond 16

Alas....the Deconstruction Device will not accept lvl 20 Challenge gear...

and noticed a display error...

Deconstructed a ML8 Longbow of Earth and it had NO ML listed until I logged out and back in...

Yes, they are currently bound to account.

Made a Tier II level 12 Elemental greataxe and Calomel Handwraps.

Disjuncted both

Mastercraftsmanship brought the initial items to level 9 - added Holy for level 13.

All still BTA - but I would keep them on the toon that gets most use anyway, just in case.

Interestingly the crafting level is showing up as a +5, not a +3, certainly on the Handwraps (did them after the Greataxe, didn't notice on the greataxe).
