Next barb life: 12B/8F AC dwarf

I did a 18B/2F before with a minimal AC investment that topped out at ~65 self buffed. Good enough for most vale elites but not beyond. I'm going full retard AC this time and could probably tank end-game but I'm sick of barb by this point so this life will probably be fast.

I haven't checked max achievable dex vs the MDB enhancements; the second/third tier of dwarf armor mastery may be overkill when using a tower shield but oh well.

I'll have to retire my bastard swords for a life and craft some daxes, but I'm fine with that.

Having to take toughness for Stalwart instead of PL barb is annoying.

This is the most offensive pos build that has ever been proposed in the history of Dungeons and Dragons. Kill yourself. Thanks.

What is the AC breakdown?

Do you play in a static or guild only groups?

Rage lowers your AC & won't stack with SD stance.

This is a PL for an eventual tank fighter build. I love AC, it makes leveling super easy. I have tons of AC equips for leveling.

Here's a rough level 20, theoretically:
10 base
11 dex (15 base + 3 tome + 7 item + 3 excep + 2 ship + 2 yugo)
16 armor (eCavPlate)
8 shield (large)
6 sup stab
3 dodge (bracers of wind)
2 dodge (goggles)
1 dodge (bracers of wind)
4 insight
1 alchemical armor
1 alchemical shield
4-6 natural (epic slot, eChimera)
5 CE
1 dodge
1 stalwart I
2 stalwart stance I
1 kobold ship
1 dwarf ship
1 house d ship
--
79-81 prebuffed ac level 20

Even at 18, you're only a few points shy of that. Losing a couple of points from eCav and +7 but that's about it.

Bard+pally+arti raidbuffs would add +10 or so, hitting 90 in a raid not out of the question.

I solo or PUG generally. Sometimes I catch parts of TR trains, but not very often.

I am completely aware of what rage does; this is barb life #3. I only rage when I have solid healing to make up for the loss of AC. Rage doesn't just "not stack" with stalwart stance, stance prevents all rage effects. Towards end game it'll be stalwart when tanking, raging when DPSing - I usually raid a lot from 18 to 20, it's fun.

Glad I can always count on the Vault to keep me warm inside when it's 20F out.

Just makin sure.  Friends don't let friends make builds with bad concepts  Wink

Do it.  I am a firm believer you can level a con-dumped, ham sandwich to 20 these days.

Hardly a con-dumped ham sandwich; this is the best barb for TRing I can come up with, without needing a 24/7 dedicated healer or a bank full of SF pots or eating a +5 heart to switch out of sorc.

Easy soloability while leveling. Not much sacrifice in DPS when DPSing, and pleasantly high AC with good s+b dps. Endgame capable if not terribly ideal. The pleasure of seeing the reaction to the barb icon offering to AC tank the raid.

The level split could be different, maybe, but I like getting both FBII and Stalwart and 13-14 barb doesn't get much.

If you think this is weird, you should see some of my other builds.

displace, haste, evasion, songs, heals, traps, locks and umd, go helf monk dilly for healing amp.

So you want to know about an exploit?
PM Epoch For Details. Or, in case you don't already know, OnePercenter controls the Exploits Board. Lastly, if you're truly desperate, Vendui Tells Everyone

I did think about bard (and ended up going barbificer one life), but it's a different direction to go in. You struggle with DPS and with having enough AC. You're probably pretty much good at nothing at 18+. I get haste (multiple clickies and pots), blur (item from level 4 onwards), heals (SF pots) and half decent UMD anyway.

Traps I generally just run though, the strain on my skill points and gear is not worth it to me to splash for rogue. I'd splash monk if it didn't require burning a heart+alignment token, 1K TP is not worth it to me for one quick life.

Oh I didn't mean I thought your build was a ham sammich.  I actually kinda like it.  I'm just saying in general.
