You guys weren't kidding - Sarlona really IS Derpy

So there are two people.

Let's call them Elroherp and Elladerp. A level 3/1 Fighter/Rogue and a level 1 Fighter.

I just spent fifteen minutes explaining sunny side/snowy side to to these two people at @ 60wpm and they STILL didn't understand why they were in the same place but couldn't see each other.

I didn't even step in until they'd been attempting to figure it out for 35 minutes.

This produced such gems as: "What server are you on?" "The one you told me to go to!".


/facepalm

How is it that, out of all of the servers I've been on, Sarlona consistently manages to attract the highest quotient of Derp?

Well, you did pug on korthos.  It is expected that there is a lot of derp to be found there!  It is entirely possible that the puggers you ended up grouped with were >15 or not native English speakers or both.

Keep pugging, it gets better.

Like the artifiscer who joined an lfm the other night for random epics.  He was 16 arti 2 fighter 2 barb.  He was special.

Oh no. I was nowhere near Korthos. These two were in a friend's guild that I joined because I enjoy hanging out with him. He made someone an officer and they invited these two.

I have a feeling he'll be locking down his officers in short order. Tongue

Even Ghallanda's, Khyber's, and Thelanis's dumbest Korthos n00b can figure out "Is it snowing?" and then if the answer is "Yes" follow the "Talk to the people at the Korthos Docks until one of them asks you if you want to skip the intro" direction.

I just TR'd a toon on Ghallanda.  Saw many newbies there having difficulty with the whole Sunny vs Snowy side.  Don't think any of them needed discertation to grasp the concept though.

I TR'd a character friday on Ghallanda. I never noticed anything on Khorthos as I ran through to get to the bank in harbour  Grin

No.  Once you've completed the intro quest once on a server, you have the option on all subsequent characters or TRs to simply skip the intro quest (and prequest dialogue/barrel-breaking/etc) by telling Jeets to skip you ahead.  Then you can take the ship directly to the Harbor and be on your way.
