I don't understand; how does it work then? 
I've never paid much attention since I thought warded raid chests are immune to all loot level boosting and they're the only chests that matter to me.

You must either be new around here or not very bright, or both I am suspecting. 

Chests cap at max level 20 and loot drops are set at 3 levels below that.  You could have a +5784257 loot week going and you are still going to get max level 16 shit out of that chest no matter how many circles you run around it and human arti's bless the fucker.

Raid chests get max level equal to their level but the raid drops are not given any higher percentage chance of dropping no matter how many baby kittens you sacrifice before opening it.

Who gives a fuck about crafting?  The loot gen stuff in the new content is kicking epic gear ass let alone anything you can craft up.

OK, they are +4 Holy of Outsider Bane / Construct Bane beaters (made a while back and too lazy to upgrade for a toon I play rarely and really use as a Shroud runner on normal). I think they are all min level 17.

The toon's capped, and I character copied over a couple of days ago after the last wipe.

I was farming Xorian today (I have to do lots of challenges, so any excuse is good for not doing them) and the loot was impressively bad. A bit better than Khortos, but not very much.

Yeah, got a pair of those. It's 17. So just the spellpower, stability, and +4 to-hit ones got doubled so far that I've tracked.

Ransacked the fuck out of the giant's vault. Actually ended up with some decent items in the chests, some disruption, banishing and smiting wraps.
