I got them on my exploiter before he TR'd and his skills were only in the mid 40's

Usually epic traps require 52 search and 60 DD.

I haven't been in there very often, but my rogue had no problem finding the box.


Maybe it bugged out like the box in sunken parish, where it's misplaced in the wall?

Pretty sure. Had people telling me where it should be, like I haven't run it before.  Roll Eyes

Guess they were afraid of putting up their own LFM for it.

I didn't even get the visual for finding it, but it may well have been bugged.

I almost earned the Soturi award getting through the traps from the rubber banding.

The fire traps in the final Altar room, with rakshasa and chests have a higher search than the traps in the hall ways. 

Mid 50's search gets the traps in the hall ways,  I think I had to bump my search above 60 to get the ones in the altar room.

As for DD, I have no idea.  62 was no failing I believe.

traps in altar room, can be avoided completely by pulling mobs out of room to stairs, then using safe route. actually it seems to me they are set off, when u try to search for boxes. Problem may be the sonic traps in farther in quest, which shows trap icon, but boxes will appear only after the rakshasa in center is spawned. i usually run thru that trap to pull rakshasa and jariliths to buddies in doorway and disable afterwards. anyway 57 works like magic number for me for all traps

Or you could just fight in the goddamn traps  Cheesy

I still remember someone suggesting we pull the mobs in some pug I was in, I just zerged into the room anyway, those traps have a pretty lowish DC (mid 30s reflex seems to save most of the time) and plus they're fire traps, get some fireshield or gtfo

I guess those are the same people that won't go into eBoB without a trapper  Grin
