There are some nice new staffs that boost your spell power in a variety of areas.  I particularly like the War Wizard staff since that boosts the big 4 elements at the same time and also gives Greater Arcane Lore.

The War Wizard staff doesn't give any generic Potency at all, though.  That means no boost for your negative energy damage spells or for your force spells.

What are you planning to grab for your spell damage boosting items?  If your weapon of choice doesn't have potency, where will you try to slot that?

I got lucky with two loot gen items, a morningstar with glaciation 102 and sup ice lore and a scepter with magnetism 102 and sup lightning lore.

Personally, I think it would be nice if Turbine would update the cannith challenge stuff that got fucked over (as far as I can tell, they all now have their element 90, twice).

i'm too fucking lazy to worry too much, i'm just sticking with the epic green blade in one hand and my 6 charge ice / cold / electric in the other.

with the massive boost to spell pen and dc's we've gotten even epic elite doesn't seem overly tough now. (i've not quested past kings forest yet)

Not sure if I'll stick with this, but seems to be working so far.

Holy symbol of Lolth for 102 Spell power for BB, Cometfall, DoT (and any other light spell i use from time to time) and even the "Free" magic missles from Wiz PL.

Alch weapon with 90 Devotion.

Got the skivver out of the bank to cover Archmagi and give me a full spread of Greater Lore.

I'm fairly lazy with swapping stuff about, so this isn't a bad option for me.

I was concerned about slotting 96+ devotion on my FvS, but the Devotion on ToD ring seems enough. It made fuck all difference on a fleshy target (614 vs 649) and with healers friend fucked, I don't give a fuck about using that toon for another 2 fucking  months.
