I never noticed before, but it appears that the fighter capstone's melee and ranged alleged speed increase isn't actually working. It probably never has, but we didn't really have the exact metrics to check and see what stacks and what doesn't.



Doublestrike is 13% - 10% from capstone and 3% from Epic Spare Hand belt.

When I drink a haste pot, melee speeds up to 15%, which is as it should be.
When I have haste boost 4 running, it's 25% melee speed - broken, it should be 30%.
When I have a  haste pot and have haste boost 4 running, it's 40% melee - broken again, it should be 45%.

Of course, ranges speed goes up to 22%, so I'm not exactly sure what the fuck is up with that.

Ranged has two distinct animations and haste only applies to one of them. So as a 'fix' they jacked up the bonus haste provides to ranged (but not thrown) combat. Its 'effectively' the same bonus.

What speed increase?

The fighter capstone was changed a while ago to give a 10% doublestrike bonus instead of stacking alacrity.

It's supposed to give a 10% competence bonus to ranged/thrown weapon attack speed, along with the melee doublestrike.  I haven't tested it to see if it's working or not, but it's not showing up on the character sheet.  (The ranged/thrown bonus)

The fighter capstone works, but still sucks. Reason why you see so few pure fighters,  2 monk was superior in pretty much every way last I knew (pre-expansion).

To be fair, they got rid of the alacrity bonus, but the capstone enhancement is still called Fighter Alacrity and the icon looks like a haste boost, so I can see how that could be confusing.
