I played Mabar last night with Grace and Maxwell and actually (gasp!) had a good time!  Had a few instances of lag here and there.  Did one dragon instance and didn't have any issues.  Then went through my bank and found 16 vampire fangs!  Booya!

What time?  Siss and I were looking for a group but I didn't see you log in.  We bailed because we got bored as a two some.

Yeah, we bailed a bit before 9 I think.  Again, though they made this event so TR'd clerics can shine.  I still despise how half my spells as a Wizard are plain unusable.

I'll see if I can make it.  I still need a few Dragon Scales to finish off the wraps.

According to My guild chat... there's a lot of bugged instances where creature spawns will be too low ( even when there's nobody else around you to spawn them )... when that occurs switch instance until you reach the laggy one... then you'll have correct level mob.

Yay!!  I just need 2 more dragon scales and then I'll just need motes to finish my wraps.

Some discussion on the ddo forums about sunburst being a dps loss over the level 20 wraps, might want to check into it for the dps calc crowd.

Those discussion threads are full of people who use Mabar wraps on non-undead mobs and are the same people concerned about Evasion mobs.  Aside from Abbott, undead don't last long enough to matter.

The ml 24 wraps should be an upgrade of about +4 damage over the ml 20 ones.

Lvl 24 wraps suck. 20 are way better. Don't see why the fuck would you bother to make 24 ones.

Math is hard.  The level 24 wraps don't suck.  On average they're +4.85 damage per hit over the ML20 ones.  Even against the Abbot if he saves against every Greater Sunburst it's +2.425 damage over the ML20 wraps.

2k motes + dust + vampire fang + scale isn't difficult to acquire.

I'm butthurt by Mabork this year too much to even consider piking in there for 2k motes. Think me an my monk are gonna be ok without those extra 4,85 damage.

Motes are what, 100 plat each? Less now? Suck it up and pay 200k for the upgrade. That's chump change anyway.
