Wrong.
Right:
The griping about the store timer vs. in game timer is a symptom of community distrust in how Turbine has chosen to monetize the game.
Double Meh. The pots suck. I wouldn't use them on any of my toons. They don't come close to SF pots. People are just too lazy to grind 400 SF favor. Which doesn't even suck that bad since they added the Web of Chaos series. You can totally skip Necro 3. So, if Turbine wants to sell pots that suck worse than what you can get in game to people who don't want to get favor, it's not p2win. It's convenience. And it pays the bills for everyone else. Monetizing the game = pays the bills for the game. This isn't you and your buddies playing PnP D&D at your dining room table. Someone has to pay for everything. People need to stop acting like it's vulgar or inappropriate for Turbine to monetize the game. WTF do they think this is? Turbine is not a 501c. You don't get service hours for playing or a tax deduction for your subscription.
The only really P2Win items:
Tomes of Fate (not available in game)
Otto's Boxes (a fast forward button that you can't get in game)
But neither of those really affect the game challenge even minutely. The biggest P2Win item:
Superior Mana Pots (600-800 mana per potion. Not obtainable in game.) Normal pot cool down timer. The single most OP, dumbing down item in the game. Bar none. Unlimited mana reduces the challenge of the game by two orders of magnitude. Minimum. Nothing else even compares. Unless they brought out healing pots that healed 800 HP per pop (before amp) with normal pot cool down timer. That would be the only thing worse.
Might as well make a "God Mode" pot after that. drink it for 30 seconds of 100% dodge, 100% elemental resist all elements, +50 to all saves, +100 AC, +2000 SP, +1000 HP. Cooldown timer: 15 seconds. ML: 1.
Seriously. Why get worked up over anything that is majorly less OP than superior mana pots or available in game easily.? Until they do something about that everything else is window dressing.
