Epic noob alert

I have recently restarted playing after over a year away, and my main (3x TR - 2 past life wiz, 1 past life sorc) human sorceress will be hitting lvl 20 soon.  I know absolutely nothing about current endgame gearouts for sorcs, nor do I know a damn thing about epic destinies.  She is an Ice Savant, and if possible I would like to keep it that way.  Since I don't want to absolutely be useless in current epics, any advice from yall would be appreciated.

Work your way into Shiradi.

Even though I hate the Shiradi gameplay and will never run my sorc in it it's stupidly effective.

I agree with going Shiradi and that after that the rest is highly irrelevant. Shiradi makes gear much less important.

I think I may be the only person out there that actually likes the Shiradi game play though. I think it comes from playing a monk so much...if I'm not pressing 3 buttons every second I get bored. Smiley

As a 20 sorc, unless I am missing something, the only thing I will have access to when I hit 20 will be Draconic-whatever, is that wrong?  How do I get to Shiradi ASAP?

You can pick anything in the arcane sphere if you start with an arcane.

Quickest would be start Fatespinner, 4 Fatespinner/3 Shadowdancer/4 Legendary Dreadnought -> Shiradi. 2.7M XP or so.

Step 1: play whatever you like while you cap.  Run all of the Eveningstar quests and Underdark quests and enjoy them.  There's a lot of neat stuff in there and you can flower sniff you way through on Hard for some XP bonus without having to face Elite.  Go run some other Epic stuff, too.  Don't stress and don't worry about XP.

Just *DON'T* run House of Rusted Blades more than twice before you hit the Epic cap.

Step 2: Run House of Rusted Blades until your eyes bleed.
In a group, it's very good XP.  You can make the run yourself a dozen times and then pike a dozen.  It's fast enough that you can just mow through the Epic Destinies.

I suggest you start with Fatesinger since you can always go back for Draconic and Magister later, but you're going to have to do Fatesinger no matter what.

This is one of the reason I can't stand the current version of DDO.

I just got that impression after you spent 13 pages calling out eladiun for being an interwebs bully when anyone who's been posting on here already knew that.  I mean, he's proud of it and hardly tries to hide that at all.

Half my guild started playing again when they found out they could use Shears to level off destinies. (we didn't realize the other bugs associated with them at the time)

Those same guys quit again when they were forced back into farming xp, or playing in shit destinies...

The overall amount of remaining bugs in ED's and the shit house system we still have to level them tells me little turbine cares about quality of life.

Considering I have a crapton of TP due to having 500/month when I paid for a year in advance and I was not playing, would it be worth it just to buy the keys and go straight to Shiradi?

it'd take you less than 3 hours of rusted blades farming to get to shiradi from fate singer.

I see what you mean if this is still a viable way to do this quest:

It's even easier than that.

After you run to the bell and ring it, run to your 9 o'clock, and use a ranged weapon, or ray spell to pull the boss to you.

feel free to use dots and other spells when he's in range of them.

With the shittiness that is the new "other" forum, I have not been able to find it - are there any links that show how Shiradi will be nerfed?  We know it will be because I am going into it..
